How Toastmasters works:
At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice:

1.
Conduct effective and efficient meetings... Agendas are pre-planned wiht roles and responsibilities documented. Our business environment, has the ability to override our scheduling. This can present an open slot for a day's meeting, which the attending members quickly resolve.

2.
Giving impromptu speeches... Members present one to two minute impromptu speeches on topics provided during the meeting by our Table Topics Master.

3.
Presenting prepared speeches... Two or three members present prepared speeches based on projects from the Toastmastes International Communication and Leadership Program manuals. Each project presents a challenge of a unique goal, such as speech organization, vocal variety, language, body language, and persuasion

4.
Offering and receiving constructive evaluation... Every prepared speaker is assigned an evaluator who points out speech strengths and offers suggestions for improvement.
