Informal Personal Revelations
In light of this great honor which has been bestowed upon me, an avid fan of poetry and all other forms of literature, I believe it is time to tell you, the reader, a little bit about myself. I am a 38-year-old gentleman, a native to my awe-inspiring country of Germany and have gained a high level of education in German Literature from the University of Munich. My favorite hobbies include hunting, weaponry, fencing, raising my Thoroughbred horses, rowing competitions, and growing wine! I live on ancestral estate complete with a small vineyard of, let us say, 800 acres, a variable figure designed to avoid unwanted harassment from a certain stalker mentioned frequently herein. Yes, I produce wine upon this land inherited from my father and my father from his father. My wines travel the world through elite distributors and you may have tasted some of my splendid grape confections at a wine tasting party? I first met Lady Lost through e-mail. Contacting this poet after reading her works on the Angelfire webpage was an irresistible response as I saw in her published poetry an undeniable thread of raw talent combined with candid unedited emotion. It was the lack of editing that intrigued me. There are very few writers that dare expose creations that have not been rewritten and refined and dulled many times over. Once I replied to Lady Lost via e-mail we corresponded on a relatively regular bases. Then at a clandestine meeting our many written letters culminated in the ultimate personal interview. The interview process continued through additional e-mails and telephone conversations.
It was here that the groundwork for the next series of works began. It was natural that I become the guardian of these works as well as I am located out of reach of a specific predator who has been stalking Lady Lost! This travesty has had devastating affects on this once prolific writer. It has taken much encouragement and support to coax her into this new project. Logistically this has been a challenging task! I have invested both financing, for postage, communication and transcript creation, and meticulous thought into how to best proceed under these circumstances. It is Lady Lost's preeminent wish that any writings she produced in the past and any writings she has assembled throughout the past two years not be lost, forgotten or stolen. Thus again I am the honored guardian. I cannot thank Lady Lost enough for this lofty privilege! I have had a wonderfully prosperous life but never before have I been allowed such a momentous role in protecting the works of an author of this precocity. Nor have I ever before been so freely given the responsibility of ensuring such works live on and are exposed to the awaiting masses of potential readers no matter what may come of the author herself! Due to the tragic situation surrounding this author today her future has become threatened. I have offered and will continue to extend to Lady Lost the option of physical refuge at my home in Germany where she will be secure and beyond the reach of this particular mad man. With great certitude, I continue to hope she will come into this safe haven soon. Until then my prayers and my admiration are with her.
