Definition Journey
He's a jackal -- Circling the fences Panting and drooling Awaiting opportunity Sly in the darkness Hunting the helpless Closing in upon -- The innocent frail Somehow less -- Yet similar He's a rodent -- A large diseased Crawling disorder Chewing on wires Excreting on valuables Scratching upon doors Trying to get it Somehow less -- Yet similar He's a cockroach -- Scampering in cupboards Spreading rampant sickness Prowling at night Crawling over commodes Consuming dung matter Traveling in sewers Afraid of the light Somehow less -- Yet similar He's a tick -- A parasitic being Feeding off others Suckling at blood Draining life-force Diminishing those -- Greater than he Somehow less -- Yet similar He's a heap -- Of horrid maggots Gnawing at life Creating damages Upon the weak Beckoning infection Calling in demise Somehow less -- Yet similar He's garbage -- Over-piling Clogging up the can Taking up space Reeking and unsightly Ruining surroundings Spilling upon the floor Growing this way Somehow less -- Yet similar He's a bacterium -- A flesh eating variety Transferring to others An epidemic of illness Landing where unwelcome Always uninvited Yet he descends Somehow less -- Yet similar He's a specter -- A vampire or ghost A vicious entity Of demonic form Following his Mecca Of pure evil intent Cloaked in lies -- A false prophet Something less -- Yet similar He's an ameba -- Perhaps its excretion The lowest denominator Of the product He's what's left behind After an organism departs He's what's filthy -- After life's marched away Somehow less -- Yet similar He's all of these things -- And more in scores He's everything pointless In damages realm Without just cause He is the error -- In the eye of chaos He is the pride -- In a sociopath's mind He is the delusion -- Of a dangerous coward Indeed he is all -- Of these things And more in scores He is malfeasance In all its malignancy He is what he embraces Without conscience He is sole depravity Perpetrating in fear -- HIS terror of capture He remains for all time Nefarious and endemic He has no buttons -- No off switch, No limits, No compassion As he has no heart He is the base factor -- Of nothing salvageable.
