"Coils and Costs"
She moved in coils -- Of gold laden circles Perpetually rounded Glistening and smooth Some things bought Some things not Everything costs Too much for her The corners of desire Are always rounded Rounded and antiquated Antiquated yet new As the radio croons Over such chances Steadfast romances Intertwined with images No one mentions Of white picket fences Hemming red brick homes Encompassing the warmth Of gold laden circles Perpetually rounded Glistening and smooth Some things bought Some things not Everything costs Too much for her.
