1) Stalkers can be extremely charming and/or charismatic prior to the time they begin stalking their victim. They are masters of deception.
2) Stalkers do not understand the words, "NO,"  "Stop," "Go away," or "Leave me alone."
3) Stalkers generally become more excited and gratified when their victims display terror, fear or other negative emotions (I.E. depression).
4) When a victim ignores the stalker he is likely to become more aggressive. A highly fixated stalker is not going to give up and go away simply because the victim ignores him. He is determined to get what he wants and will stop at nothing to achieve his end goal.
5) Stalkers do not react with remorse when their victim is obviously terrified unless that display of remorse is an attempt to get back into a real or imagined relationship with the victim.
6) Stalkers are manipulative. Stalkers can be dangerously impulsive.
7) Stalkers typically have an average to oftentimes an above average IQ. There are very few if any truly stupid stalkers. A stupid stalker would likely be captured and arrested quickly.
8) Stalkers are typically loners. They have few if any close and rewarding friendships and/or other relationships.
9) Stalkers don't generally don't have a romantic relationship outside the one they are trying to establish or re-establish with their victim. Stalkers typically do not have the skills to maintain a long-term romantic relationship as they are abusive personalities.
10) Stalkers don't show discomfort or anxiety in circumstances that would make a normal person uncomfortable.
11) Stalkers oftentimes have low self-esteem. However they can also have delusions of grandeur. Their low self-esteem may not be apparent to their victim or outsiders.
12) Stalkers can lose control and harm or kill their victims.
13) Stalkers oftentimes have Anti-social Personality Disorder.
14) Stalkers can be sociopaths or psychopaths or have characteristics of these disorders.
15) Stalkers are deceptive without conscience.
16) Stalkers have an obsessive or fixated personality and will perseverate on their victims.
17) Stalkers have a tendency towards fixed delusions. Once a stalker gets an idea in his head nothing will change his mind.
18) Stalkers can be male or female.
Stalking is considered another form of domestic violence by many researchers and therapists.
19) Stalkers behaviors while staking are oftentimes extremely strange.  A stalker will do things repeatedly that amaze and shock the victim and leave police officers in doubt about the credibility of the victim's reports.
20) Stalkers will do anything they can think of to terrorize the victim as long as they believe they will get away with it.
21) Stalkers tend to transfer to the victim's friends, families, children, associates, and acquaintances therefore further isolating many victims from sources of support.
22) Stalkers are control freaks.
23) Stalkers can be aggressively destructive towards a victim's property.
24) Stalkers are clever about getting away with their activities (I.E. they are generally careful to avoid getting caught until they lose control).
25) Stalkers will tell their victim anything to get close to the victim.
26) Stalkers can use the legal system (I.E. threats of lawsuits) to further terrorize the victim.
27) Stalkers can come from a violent dysfunctional family but they may not tell their victim this while courting the victim.
28) Stalkers are extremely resourceful.
29) Stalkers are experts at watching, stalking, and researching their victim's life and routines and because the stalker is not mentally healthy he does not have a realistic appraisal of the victim's life or responsiveness to him and/or his activities.
30) Stalkers will spend all their money and years of their life stalking a victim.
31) Stalkers stalk victims that are ordinary people.
32) Stalking is a terribly misunderstood crime and there are very few places a victim can turn to for help unless that victim is wealthy and can afford to hire body guards, attorneys and a PI. Since stalkers can become homicidal the protection a wealthy victim can afford may not be even temporarily adequate unless the stalkers is captured, prosecuted and jailed.
