The heat bore down
Its thick walls
Crushing her face
Everything rising
From all directions
Everything languid
Sluggish and thick
Thicker than bricks
Upon Grandmother's porch
Thicker than blood
Within Alice's coffin
Thicker than dreams
Pressing against it
Seeking entrances
One little fissure
Back towards Alice
Back to the garden
The garden is hope
Loved and cherished.
