The specter
In his mirror
Laughing at him
Mocking him
Urging him on
To cackle more
At his foolishness
The specter --
In his mirror
Of his own --
Design & creation
Of his own --
Willful embrace
Of his own --
Self-determination
His chosen path
Does he see --
It sometimes
What he's made
What he's earned
What he's done
To his life --
Sullied & tarnished
What he's grasped --
A sardonic ghost
To bare always
Or does he --
Persist ignoring it
Pretending it's not --
Of his own ownership
Clutching it closer --
In desperate denials
All consuming
Projecting it --
Elsewhere
Where it --
Doesn't live
This specter --
In his mirror
Isn't a Heckler
It is himself
Within himself
At the very core.

**This work is yet another example of this author's terror changed to anger. The specter in this work is not an outside figurative entity such as specters or other figurative beings circling the perimeter in some of Lady Lost's other works. The specter in this specific work refers more to the core of the alleged perpetrator's being, what is in the depth of his soul.
