Wind
    "Wind"

The wind drifts in
Within tremulous waves
  Demurely building
Into an airborne cascade
  Massively sweeping
All interruptions away
  Deafening the ears
To every distraction
   How I adored
Such wild desert winds
   Soothing, Cooling
   Uplifting, Mystical
Beckoning such dreams
  Of magical dancing
   Dancing no more
   Merely a disabling
Of tenderly honed ears
  Searching out sounds
  Telling of approaches
    Vampires, Ghouls
    Ghosts, Specters
    A demonic stalker
Sliding through brush
   HERE OR THERE
   THERE OR HERE
  He is somewhere
Perpetrating something
  Uninvited by his --
  Victims, Co-victims
And unsuspecting cohorts
He may have collected
The latter in scores
Following his boasted
  Mode of operations.
