Shocking commonality
Those with influence --
Look the other way
Play ostrich games
While horrors unfold
Our society --
Has become
A Dumpster
Overflowing
Unnecessarily
It discards --
Living resources
With nary --
A glance back
At remains
Once valuable
WHY?
