Lost In The Moment

I see that I have done you wrong
I didn't show enough affection
Maybe I was saying the right things
But they were going in the wrong direction

I know that even when you aren't here
Your name will bring me a smile
Make me think of things we've been through
Reminds me you're worthwhile

But I lost that, didn't I
I should have known what to expect
I should have realized I was losing something so well
Something I have to resurrect

And as I contemplate these things of sorrow
I realize I saw a future that was dire
And I continue to kiss you; I'll make it right, and hold you
tight
Let myself be consumed by loves desire

UNTITLED

I've spent a lifetime of wondering with my head on the
ground,
Never knowing you were nearest when I was feeling
down,
Lost in a feeling that I tried to understand,
When all I really needed was for you to take my hand.
Down the pages of my history echoed the ghost of long
ago,
I understood it was something that I should really
know,
It came to me and I think I began to understand,
That all I really needed was for you to take my hand.
Through a thousand timeless shores I could see you
standing there,
I know I had to stop and think for you I gently care,
But by then I was too young to want to understand,
That all I really needed was for you to take my hand.
