History: A Force-sensitive Calamarian, she was recruited by Leia Organa Solo for Luke Skywalker's Jedi academy. She is also an ambassador from Mon Calamari. Cilghal used her proven ambassadorial skills to hold the twelve Jedi students together on the days following the attack on Luke Skywalker by the spirit of Dark Sider Exar Kun. She aided in the plan to defeat Kun, then departed Yavin 4 for her most difficult mission: healing the dying Mon Mothma. Cilghal discovered that the former chief of state was suffereing from a poisoning of nano-destroyers, artificially created viruses that were dismantiling Mon Mothma's cells one nucleus at a time. Using her considerable abilities, Cilghal set about to instead dismantle the nano-destroyers, billions of them, one at a time. In doing so, she healed Mon Mothma.

Cilghal went on to complete her training and returned to her world as a Jedi Knight, Jedi Healer, and Ambassador. She helped where she could on her world, healing those she could, and keeping in touch with Admiral Ackbar, who had retired from the New Republic not long after internal political strife pulled it apart.

She has been known to visit Ackbar on his private battlecruiser, Home Ocean 2, and occasionally use her ambassadorial skills to assist Cirrek with gaining more clientele for the Mon Calamari shipyards.

Currently, she and Admiral Ackbar are on their way to Coruscant in order to seek membership with the reformed Republic after an attempt by the Imperial faction, Black Hand, to take their system away from them.
