ANTHONY EDWARDS

Biography





Anthony Edwards was born July 19,1962 in Santa Barbara,California. He lived there with his mother, father, and 5 older siblings.

By age 16 he had performed in dozens of plays and musicals. He attended a summer workshop at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.During his study at the University of Southern California, He played roles in the feature films "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" (remember that one?) and "Heart like a Wheel". He left USC in 1982 to take a role in "It Takes Two" with "Mad About You"'s Helen Hunt and Richard Crenne. He later appeared in "Revenge of the Nerds","The Sure Thing", "Mr North", and "Miracle Mile".

He starred with Hunt once again in "Sexual Healing", which earned him a Cable ACE nomination as Best Actor.

Edwards has performed on stage in plays such as "Harvey","Daniel in Babylon", "Grand Junction", and "Black". Anthony also likes to direct. He has directed "Charlies Ghost Story" starring Cheech Marin, and to date is the only cast member to direct an episode of ER.

He enjoys tennis and spending time with his wife, Jeanine, and their son Bailey.
