This is the view from our villa on the hilla

This is a view of the hilla with the villas. It's rumored that one of the huge homes at the very top of the hill belongs to Whitney Houston. Eric Clapton also has a home over one of the hills, and a rehab center- Crossroads- as well. I guess if you hafta go to rehab, at least you have a great view and great weather!

Montserrat

We took a chopper ride to Montserrat, where a volcano erupted just a couple of years ago. In the first shot, you can see the destruction of what used to be a rain forest. Photo 2 is the dome of the volcano, and photo 3 was the airport-now buried in ash,. It was fascinating, and, of course, very sad.

Whales!

Chris spotted this humpback whale from the chopper, and the pilot circled around so that we could get a better view.

Those little brown blobs you see on his right hand (fin) side are dolphins. The pod of dolphins was following the whale, and they surfaced when he did!

We enjoyed meeting these people from Toronto.

Here we are at English Harbor, also known as Nelson's Dockyard National Park. It was a shipyard used by Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson of the British Navy for repairation of ships. We toured the historic buildings and their museum.

And yes, we DID relax on the beach! I don't envy this guy's job!
