Having leaped into a friend of Serra's, Sam explained to him all that he needed to know to become a Leaper! So Serra built an accelerator in a small city with embezzled money from the government. Improving the project he can now leap into all times, beyond his lifetime, anywhere on Earth. Serra stepped into the Quantum Leap Accelerator, and vanished... He awoke to find himself trapped in the past - present - or future, facing mirror images that were not his own, and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. His only contact is Roubol, a project observer who only Serra can see and hear. Serra has strange eyeglasses, through which the observers in the future can see what he does, preventing more problems. The glasses have a neural translator which allows Serra to speak to everybody, regardless of language.And so Serra finds himself leaping from life to life, changing what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home.
