John Boy's Graduation
It was a very proud day for all of the Walton family when John Boy graduated from the Waltons Mountain School near the end of season 2 in the episode The Graduation. He was the first member of the family to be looking forward to going to University. He had won a scholarship which would allow him to go to Boatwright University. John Boy was also awarded the honour of being the class valedictorian.
Just before graduation day, John Boy's family herded him into the truck so they could buy his graduation present. He was being given a whole new "store bought" outfit for college. Unfortunately, Chance the cow died, and John Boy decided that he should return the clothes and make do with what he had. Instead, the handy Esther and Olivia, got together and remade one of Zeb's suits, the one he wished to be buried in, and here is the surprise John Boy got when rising on Graduation Day.

John Boy and Marcia Woolery spend a quiet few moments together before the graduation ceremony begins. They also share a quiet kiss, until they are interrupted by Ike Godsey, who is looking for John Boy, in order to give him a small gift.
