Background Information:

Alison Sweeney was born in Los Angeles. She made her first show biz appearance at age five in a Kodak commercial. She soon got roles in Prime-time series including 'Family Man', 'I Married Dora', 'Tales From the Darkside', 'St. Elsewhere', 'Webster', and 'Simon & Simon'. She also appeared in the feature films, 'The End of Innocence' and 'The Price of Life'.

She made her 'Day of our Lives' debut on January 22, 1993. She says that she hopes to be a director one day.

Character Information:

Sami and her twin brothe, Eric, are the children of Marlena and Roman Brady. She is the half-sister of Carrie and Belle.

After a long stay with Marlena's family in Colorado, Sami became a candy striper at the hospital. It was there that she developed a crush on Austin Reed, a guy who was interested in Carrie.

Sami went from being a sweet girl to someone who would stop at nothing to get "her" man. She drugged Austin and, thinking she was Carrie, he made love to her. After Austin rejected her, Sami ran away. She arrived back in Salem just in time to stop Austin and Carrie's wedding with the news that she was carrying Austin's child.
Recently, Austin has found out that Sami and him do not share a son, and that Lucas is actually baby Will's father. This was discovered just as Austin was going to marry Sami. He then married Carrie instead.

I think that Alison has really grown as an actress. When she first started in 1993, I did not really think that she could turn her character into one with front burner storylines. I have really enjoyed many of the storylines which has featured Alison. My favorites are when she confronted her mother about her affair with John and revealled this to her father at the baptism, and the recent storyline with her schemes to keep her family together. I am sure that the writers of Days have lots in store for Sami and that Alison will display her talent for many years to come.
