Introduction of Fann

fannbrideFann Wong ( or Fann Woon Fong ) is a Singapore-born actress.  At the tender age of 16 years, she won the Her World Cover Girl Contest and modelling assignments came rolling in.  The more popular commercials she has graced are "Oil of Ulan", "KFC", "Sanyo Air-con" and so on.

Then in 1994, she was in Taipei when her mother called her and said that fannxpressa person from SBC ( now known as TCS ) had called her asking if she was interested in acting.  When she returned to Singapore, the person called her again and made an appointment with her to see the Executive Producer.  At SBC, she was given the script for Dreams Come True and voila! - an actress is born.
After Dreams Come True was The Challenger and then Chronicle of Life which boosted her to fame by helping her claim Best Actress, Best Newcomer and Top 5 Most Popular actress on Caldecott Hill in the Stars Awards 1995.
From a bitchy, wild woman in fannfatalFatal Memory to Tom-boyishness in The Challenger, from comic roles in The Morning Express and The Matchmaker's Match to sweet and honest-to-goodness looks in Wild Orchids, Fann proves herself to be a versertile actress with superb acting skills.

Not only does she have the looks and the skills of acting, she also has a voice to go along with it.  She has become the first TCS artiste to release a solo album and got a chance to sing with famous Taiwan singer Jeff Chang in the song "Don't Make Our Love Difficult" which was the theme song of the TCS drama blockblaster fannmatch" Brave New World ".

With barely 3-4 years in the show biz, she has indeed worked very hard to acheive what she has today.  Putting up with remarks about her daring clothes, speech during the Stars Awards 1995, supposed proudness, alleged rivalry between her and Zoe Tay, constantly being misunderstood by the media and more recently the double contract row, she has indeed lived up to her name and claim of being an optimistic person.
