"FANN WONG may make
a comeback in a new TCS serial based on
Louis Cha's
famous novel, Return of the Condor Heros.
She is the favourite of the TV station's senior creative head Chiu Chi Kin for the serial's lead role.
Fann's height and fair complexion fits the description of Xiao long Nu ( Little Dragon Girl), the role defined by HongKong actress Idy Chan in the TVB series of the same story in the 80's.
But she is up against Phyllis Quek, who is also being considered to play the character.
The lead actor is likely to be Chew Chor Meng, whose endearing boyishness brings to mind Yang Guo, played by Andy Lau in the TVB version.
Other potential candidates for the plum role are Christopher Lee and Thomas Ong.
