Who, what or where? That's what our contestants will be answering today, let's meet them now. Our champion, Megan Mattick, Bill Barker, and Monty Marshall. WHO... WHAT...or WHERE! That's the name of the game, and here's our host, ART JAMES!

NBC: December 29, 1969-January 4, 1974
A Ron Greenberg production

Since The Challengers is based on the Who What or Where Game (which some refer to as "The 3W's") I thought it would be appropriate to include this companion page.

Main Game

Three players compete. Each is given $125 to start. A category is given, plus the odds (Even, 2X, or 3X the wager) on the WHO, WHAT or WHERE questions. The higher the odds, the more difficult the question. Each player wagers any amount up to $50 on either a WHO, WHAT or WHERE question.

Should any player lose all their winnings during the game, then they are OUT OF THE GAME.

If EACH PLAYER CHOOSES A DIFFERENT QUESTION- then all the players are eligible to answer their question

If TWO PLAYERS, or ALL THREE PICK THE SAME QUESTION- only the HIGHEST wagerer gets to answer the question. In the event of a TIE, the $50 limit is waived and an auction is held until one of the two players allows the opponent to answer the question.

Pot Limit

In the final round, the players may wager ANY amount on a final question. The rules for who gets the question are the same as in the main game. The player with the most money returns on the next show.

Miscellaneous Info

Jack Narz hosted the pilot for the 3W's in 1966, but when it was sold in '69, Art became the host
