Introduction
No one can really be sure of the effect of the rehabilitation from dependancy. For some, it's just like throwing yourself into reverse and starting where you left off, for Brenda Barrett it was the uncontrollable urge to flee. In Brenda's mind, leaving Port Charles and all of it's memories was a way of taking control of her life and finally banishing her addiction forever. This, coupled with promises of adventure and the romanticism of ancient Egypt made it logical, at least in her mind, to leave with Egyptologist Cedric Palmerton and never look back.
It's been a year since she's left, and Port Charles will never be the same. The two men in her life, Sonny and Jax, have shifted their attentions from loving Brenda to destroying each other. PC has become a war zone . Each man trying to squelch each other's fire.

Chapter 1
"She came in through the bathroom window...protected by a silver spoon."- Lennon& McCartney

Sonny sat at the bar staring into a half-empty brandy snifter. " Ya know Luke, I never thought I'd say this ...but I can't do this alone anymore." Sonny spoke almost deadpan. Luke finished wiping the bar and stared into Sonny's eyes " I have been watching you and Jax play king of the hill for way to long, he pushes you, you get up, you push him, he gets up ...let's hope this machismo contest doesn't soon involve a body count." Sonny just laughed and finished off his brandy.
"Luke," he sighed, " I have intercepted about 10,000 dollars worth of Jax cosmetics, HE has the bar closed down and searched for cocaine. He gets me...he always gets me....."
"Sonny, I don't mean to hurt your feelings but don't you think this whole game makes about as much sense as bangin' your head into the wall." Luke pleaded with Sonny
"Well look who's talking 'ICE PRINCESS' " Sonny snarled
" Luke, I've brought in a baraccuda..."
The door to the bar flung open like a scene from the old westerns, and there stood a woman, as inconspicuous as a neon sign,
"Sonny....you rang" snapped her voice.....
