I would love to know what you guys are thinking about these latest chapters. Feedback is always welcome. I hope everyone enjoys these next few chapters.

Jason and Miles left after Jason kissed Michael on the forehead. When the guard came around Brenda and Sonny bent over in pain after moving Michael's crib a few feet away from where they were. When the two guards went to help them up they never even saw the guns coming. Sonny took his guy out first and then Brenda took hers out. Then all they heard were gun shots. 6 to be exact. Then dead silence.

Fortunately when they looked around no one was hurt. At least no one that wasn't supposed to be. Jason rushed over to Michael who had begun crying because of the noise all the guards were dead and Jerry had Carlos pinned down in the sand. Jax ran over to where Brenda was and picked her up out of the sand and enveloping her in a hug. She had her face buried in his chest as he stroked her hair.

" I knew you would come for me." She said breathlessly.

" Shhhhh. You don't have to say anything. They didn't hurt you did they? He didn't did he?" He said motioning towards Sonny.

" No he didn't hurt me. Nobody did." She said.

" I'm so glad you're okay." He said.

" I'm just glad you're here." She said.

In all the commotion no one noticed Carlos pull a knife as Jerry stood him up. Before Jerry saw what he was doing Carlos stabbed him in the side and twisted to the knife to induce the bleeding. Jerry let out a yelp of pain. He tried, unsuccessfully to hold on to Carlos but the pain made it impossible. Miles, Jax and Brenda all ran over to where he was.

" Jax, Miles you have to catch him. Go I'll be fine." He said. Miles never hesitated but Jax did. He didn't want to leave his brother.

" Jax go I'll take care of Jerry. I promise I won't let anything happen to him. We'll take everyone back to camp and you and Miles take 2 horses." Brenda said as she saw Miles galloping off.

" Okay." He said kissing her on the forehead as he ran and mounted the horse from the back with one swift jump over him and took off. Brenda was tending to Jerry's wounds when Julia, Jack, Michael, Ned and Alexis walked over to them. Jason and Sonny were together with Michael. Jason was checking every inch of him to make sure there wasn't one scratch on him.

" Jerry are you okay?" Julia said as she looked at how comfortable Brenda and Jerry seemed together.

" Yeah Jules, never been better." He said sarcastically.

" Jerry I need you to do me a favor. I need you to life your arm for me." Brenda said. As she tried to remove his shirt.

" This feels perilously close to foreplay Ms. Barrett." Jerry laughed as he grunted in pain at moving his arm.

" You never change Jerry." She said as she used his shirt to try and clean out the wound as beast she could. " I need someone's shirt." She said and Ned gave her his. " Thanks" She said as she took it and tore it up and then made a tourniquet around his side.

" Jerry this is going to hurt just a little bit." She said as she tightened it around him and he grabbed onto her leg and squeezed in pain.

" You sure know how to treat a guy." He said.

" Whatever. Come on we've got to get you and everyone else out of here. I'll ride with you, all you have to do is hold on. Do you think you can do that?" She said as she helped him stand up.

" Yeah if I can stay awake." He said shaking his head to wake himself up.

" Jerry you've lost a lot of blood you can't go to sleep." She said as Jason and Sonny came over with the remaining 4 horses. They all had to make due but they made it back to the compound all in one piece. Unfortuantely Jerry was still losing way too much blood.

Ned and Michael carried him in the house and into the living room.

" Oh dear God. Jerry what happened to you?" Jane said as she ran over to him.

" It was nothing Mum." Jerry said as they laid him out.

" We need to get him stitched up or something." Brenda said as she came in and ran over to him with blood all over her clothes.

" I can do it. Emily take Michael. Get me some hot water some towels, any kind of disinfectant and a medical kit." Jason said. " Robin I'm going to need you to help me." He said.

" Okay." She said as she got the towels and hot water while Emily went and got everything else.

Lois ran over to her friend and hugged her.

" Thank God you're okay." She said as Brenda hugged her back.

John tapped her on the shoulder and she turned around. She stood up from where she was beside Jerry and hugged her.

" Thank God you're alright. Where's Jax?" John said noting his obvious absence.

" Him and Miles took 2 horses and went after Carlos. Jerry had him but he pulled a knife and Jerry didn't see him. His injury was pretty bad so he could hold onto him so he got away and they went after him. I am so worried about Jax but I' know he wouldn't want me to worry so I'm concentrating on Jerry. I promised him I would take care of Jerry and I don't break my promises to him." She said.

" I understand." He said as he went over to comfort Lady Jane and tell her what was going on with Jax so she didn't flip at him not being there.

Meanwhile Jason was working on Jerry and Robin was trying as best she could to help him. Jason was screaming at Jerry not to fall asleep. Nikolas and Mike had figured out a way to fix the phone lines while everyone was gone so they were working on that. Jack had Lois enveloped in his arms and Michael and Ned were doing the same thing for Alexis and Julia.

Brenda sat behind Jerry's head and put his head in her lap as she stroked his hair and talked to him.

" Damn it Jerry don't fall asleep." She said. " You're not gonna go and die on me either. Jax needs you and so does your family." She whispered in his ear.

As Jason sterilized the wound Jerry was moaning in pain. " Brenda try to keep him calm and talk to him. Do whatever you can to keep him from concentrating on the pain and to get him to stop moving. Get him to talk to you." Jason said and Brenda just nodded in affirmation.

" Jerry don't think about this. Think about Paris….yeah Paris. Remember that place we used to go every morning to get coffee and the waitress would flirt unmercifully with you." She said.

" Yeah and the chef was practically drooling on your clothes." He said half laughing as he tried to ignore the pain and concentrate on her.

" He was not you just tried to make me think he was so that I wouldn't be so mad that the waitress was practically throwing herself at you." She said.

" Well whatever. You remember when we stayed in that place all night and we paid them to let us use it for the night. We must have been wired from the espresso for hours." He said.

" I remember. We talked the night away. I think that was when you told me about Lightening your dog that died." She said.

" Hey hey, don't think because I am in all this pain you can give away all my secrets that I divulged to you." He said give her a wry smile.

" Yeah yeah. You just don't everyone to know how crazy you are. Well I have news for you, they already know." She said.

" This reminds me of the time that I was in the hospital with food poisoning and you sat with me all night. I'll never forget you holding my hair back and my head over the bed so I could puke into the pan which I ended getting more on you than in the pan." He said.

" Oh I remember it well Jerry. You puked on me for 45 minutes straight on the way to the hospital. Then for the whole night you were in the hospital. You ruined my favorite silk blouse you know. Speaking of that you never replaced it either." She said.

" You never came back to Paris……or to me." He said looking up at her.

" Jerry I………" Brenda started and then Jason interrupted which was a welcomed breather for Jerry and Brenda not to mention everyone in the room who had been watching their display and listening to their conversation. Everyone was either in shock or didn't want to upset Jerry since she seemed to be helping him with their trip down memory lane. Meanwhile Jax and Miles were still no where to be found.

" I'm done. He's going to need to take it easy for awhile. He really needs to see a doctor. Make sure you wake him up every so often because he did lose a lot of blood. Also you're going to have to help him change his bandages at least twice a day maybe more if they leak. Jerry take these to help with the pain." Jason said as he got up handed Jerry 3 pills and went over to where Emily, Lila, Edward and Sonny were fussing over Michael.

" Hey is there a bathroom around here where I can clean up and clean Michael up. Sonny you probably want to too." Jason said.

" Yeah the bathroom is upstairs down the hall and to your left. First door on the right." Emily said.

" Thanks Em." Jason said grabbing the bag he had brought with him as he picked up Michael and he and Sonny made a hasty exit. Emily went over to where Robin was and helped her clean up. Ned and Jack went over to help Brenda get Jerry up to his room. Jane, John, Julia, Alexis, Michael and Lois all watched at how they never let go of each other's hands.

" Well what the devil is going on between Jerry and Brenda?" Jane said looking over at John.

" I don't know mother , I don't know." John said.

" I'll tell you." Lois said as she saw Jane about to go charging upstairs to interrogate everyone until someone told her something. " I know it's not my place but I know that Brenda probably can't take anything else tonight and neither can Jerry." Lois said.

" Well tell us what you know?" Jane said as they all went into the kitchen where Ruby was making coffee.

" Lois you don't mind if I enter in on this little session do you?" Julia said.

" No you're her sister. I mean I know she was going to tell you all anyway but just everyone can get some peace now I'll fill you in on what I know." Lois said as they all sat down with the coffee and Ruby left the kitchen to go over and sit with Lila and Edward.

Then Lois dove right in with the story and the fact that Brenda was going to tell Jax but got kidnapped first. She then told them everything she knew from there and was surprised there were no interruptions. Lois also kept true to her word to both Jerry and Brenda and didn't reveal any personal things they had told her. She was very objective to everyone only revealing the pertinent facts.

" So that's the whole story." She said as she finished.

" WOW!" Was all Julia could muster.

" Oh I feel terrible for all of them to have to be going through this now. I just hope they can get through this." Jane said.

" They will mother. Jax is very forgiving and in this case there is nothing to forgive. Once they get a chance to talk with each other they'll be fine." John said full of confidence.

" Well we have to wait until Jax gets back to do anything. If he doesn't get back soon someone has to go out and look for him." Jane said.

" Completely unnecessary." Jax said as he walked up behind everyone into the kitchen. Jane jumped and hugged him to her.

" Mum, your killing me. I'm fine." Jax said. " Where's Brenda?" Jax said looking around for her.

" She's fine son. She's with Jerry." John said.

" With Jerry? Okay. How is he?" Jax said running his fingers through his hair.

" He's fine too. Jason and Robin did a good job of helping him. Brenda made sure he stayed calm and awake. He should be fine but we're all going to need to get out of here tomorrow. We need to get him some real medical care and what of the people who took Brenda and Jason's son?" Jane said.

" They're all dead except Carlos. Miles and I caught him and he's here. I think Miles is tying him up as we speak." Jax said.

" Well is it safe to have him here with all of us?" Julia piped up.

" Yes Miles was strapping him to a chair in the living room. Miles is going to sleep out there and he hears everything. That's how we caught him, Miles heard him breathing." Jax said.

" Well that's good….." Jane started but Jax cut her off.

" Mum, I'm sorry but I really just want to get to Brenda." He said looking at her hoping she understood.

" We all understand son. Go to her." John said and before he could even finish Jax was taking off towards Jerry's room.

" Well it's been a long day why don't we all get some sleep." Lois said.

" I agree." Jane said.

Meanwhile upstairs in Jerry's room Brenda had positioned herself on the bed so that Jerry would be comfortable. She had her leg tucked underneath her and the other leg stretched out on the bed. She was propped up against one pillow and on her lap there were 2 pillows where Jerry was laying his head. He had his eyes closed and Brenda was stroking his hair softly with one hand and the other hand was thrown across his torso.

That was the scene Jax walked in on. To say he was upset was the understatement of the year. Brenda looked up immediately sensing his presence. She smiled resisting the urge to run to him because any sudden movement would wake Jerry up and he needed to sleep. Instead she signaled for Jax to wait one second so she could move without waking Jerry. She succeeded until she put the pillow underneath the other pillows where her leg was. Once she moved off the bed he instinctively reached for her and his eyes fluttered open. He saw Jax and let her hand go. He tried to get up to say something to Jax but he couldn't really move that well.

" Jerry don't hurt yourself trying to move." Jax said.

" Come here then." Jerry said as Brenda moved away from him and Jax came over and they shared a hug.

" Thank God you're alright. I would've never forgiven myself if something had happened to you." Jerry said as he held Jax a few moments longer.

" Everything's fine. Miles and I caught Carlos and everyone is okay, except you." Jax said looking at Jerry and then his eyes moved to Brenda who was just taking in the whole scene. Jerry noticed and decided to say something.

" Jax I know you two have a lot to talk about so you should go now. I need to sleep anyway." Jerry said throwing on a smile.

" Thanks Jerry." Brenda said as she bent down and kissed him on the forehead. " If you need anything just holler." She said as she went and Jax went out into the hallway and down into their room. The moment the door to their room closed they were in each other's arms.

Once the kisses began they never stopped. They were soft and exploring at first. Then searing and blistering hot. Kisses that seemed mind numbing. They were so wrapped up in each other that nothing else existed.

" I was so happy to see you earlier. You're always a sight for sore eyes but I had never seen anything more beautiful than you running towards me earlier." Brenda said.

" I was so happy to see you too." He said as he kissed her again and again. He was making his way to her shirt when he saw the blood and that stopped him cold.

" What happened to you, Brenda? Are you okay, where did all this blood come from?" He said suddenly checking her.

" Don't worry it's not mine. I was riding with Jerry and it's his blood from earlier." She said and then noticing the change in his demeanor. Speaking of Jerry definitely put a damper on the mood.

" Oh." Jax said walking away from her. That gesture in and of itself was enough for Brenda to know that he knew about her and Jerry.

" Jax are you angry about Jerry and I? I mean I assume you know about our past." Brenda said.

" Yes I know." He said still not facing her.

" You have to believe me when I tell you I was on my way to tell you about it but I got kidnapped." Brenda said.

" I know." He said still not facing her.

" Jax please don't do this. Don't shut me out." She said.

" Did you love him? Do you love him now?" Jax said finally turning around to face her. He had tears in his eyes as he faced the truth in her eyes.

In Jerry's room he was trying unsuccessfully to sleep. All he could think about was Brenda. He had never been jealous of anything Jax had. Even when they were kids. Even though he was older Jax was always the golden boy. Not that his parents had treated them any different, they had both been loved. But Jax was the light of the family and he knew that. He never envied it or wanted what he had. He had actually never thought twice about it. He was doing his own thing and he liked what he did. Even when Jax took over J&J Jacks of Alaska, Jerry just stuck to his own turf. The grunt work. He had always protected Jax and loved him with everything he had. Not once did he want what Jax had. Until now. Until Brenda.

Funny he thought that it was thing most important to Jax that he longed for after all this time. He tried to shake off his thoughts but everytime he turned a different way he either hurt his side or he could smell her scent or both. It was driving him crazy.

Jerry figured if he just let the thoughts come to him they would go away and he would be able to get some sleep or at least figure out everything that was going on in his head. No matter how much he wanted Brenda he would never do anything to hurt Jax. He knew how Jax felt about her and now he knew exactly how he felt. She was unforgettable.

Jerry just knew he had met his match in Brenda Barrett. But so had Jax, they were so alike in so many ways that she fit them both. Maybe the girl he knew wasn't the woman who had fallen in love Jax and who Jax had fallen for. If she hadn't met Jax, maybe she could have been the one for him. They had danced the night away when they were in Paris. He wanted to give her everything but it seemed that Jax was everything to her. He had to forget about her for everyone's sake. Maybe he would just leave the country again. He moaned because he knew that wouldn't help anything since he knew where she was and he had seen her. He would probably read fashion magazines just to see her. Now that he found her again it would be impossible to forget her.

Brenda consumed his thoughts as he saw Jax kissing her and holding her in ways he could only imagine. He closed his eyes and began to drift off to sleep only in his dreams Jax looked different kissing her and holding her and making love to her all night and day………this man was slightly shorter than Jax. He had dark hair and it was longer than Jax's. His eyes were not the same color as Jax and neither was his build. All at once it hit him…..the man doing all those things with Brenda as she moaned out in pleasure wasn't Jax………..it was him.
