Special Witness
Busey sits next to the man and says "Bon journo" the man
questions just who Busey is and he replies by telling the man that he's a
messenger. Then with a quick pull of his arm around the man's neck, Busey
kills the man (giving Victor Cantioni's message) "Happy Anniversary."
Just
as Busey is twenty feet from the table, the man's wife comes back and
realizes that her husband isn't moving. She shrieks and everyone gets
concerned as Busey quietly slides out unnoticed.
We then switch back to
Dallas where C.D. is serving up his four alarm chilly (WahoOOO!!!!) at the
Dallas Special Olympics. We move through out the festivities where our
heroes (WTR and SOT) are encouraging various Special Olympic participants.
Dion Sanders is a part of the festivities and meets with Walker and Sally
(a participant). Sanders is getting ready to announce the qualifying race
for the Special Olympics, where the top three finalists go on to compete in
San Antonio. Sally, who is nervous, goes to Walker and tells him her
worries. Walker has her recite the Special Olympics oath and sends her off
to the race.
As the race begins, Alex and Walker are watching in the
stands. Alex is also nervous about Sally winning and we watch as one of
the runners falls and Sally tries to help them. The fallen girl tells
Sally to run and Sally runs. Even though she is well behind everyone,
Sally catches up and gets one of the top three places. Walker and Alex
congratulate her and her mom too.
Sally runs to Walker and he gives her a
hug, then Alex makes a comment about Sally having a crush on Walker. His
response is that he's the one with the crush and for Alex not to be mad at
him for it (they're still engaged here).
Somewhere in the Dallas suburbs,
a lawyer is talking to Mr. Foley (a man going to trial). The lawyer is
saying that things look good and they have an 83% chance of aquital. Mr.
Foley loads a revolver with one bullet, spins the barrel, then points the
gun at the lawyer and basically tells him to play with those odds.
Just
then as the lawyer leaves, Busey's character (Riggs) enters the room. Mr.
Foley hands Riggs pictures of Trent in his corvette and says he's willing
to pay $250,000 for Trent's untimely passing (Trent is a witness against
Foley). Riggs looks at this like a call job, but Foley tells him otherwise
and Riggs thinks about the fun he can have with this one.
A man who's been
in the background (holstered gun) objects and says he works alone. Riggs
agrees that he works alone and takes out the other man. Riggs looks at the
picture of Trent standing in a black t-shirt, black jacket and jeans. He
smiles and asks for a glass of milk (Hey, milk does a body good. Even the
bad guys know that)
*****Opening Credits*****
We come back to C.D.'s where Alex is talking about being worried on
the outcome of this trial. She has been working Trent on his deposition so
well that he's "testifying in his sleep." Trivette comes to the table
where Alex, Trent, Walker and Carlos are sitting: and sits right next to
Carlos, asking if he's "ready for the big day." Carlos shifts his head and
is still unwilling to believe that he was talked into this. Trent asks
what is Carlos talking about, but Carlos tells everyone not to say a word
(I wonder what the big secret is) and Walker makes a motion to sip his lips
(Walker and Trivette laugh).
We then see a laundry truck and hear Carlos'
voice talking about how lame what he is doing is. He is also complaining
about how no one will fall for this, his feet hurt, his back is killing him
and the bra he has on as well (Yes that is bra!) Walker and Trivette just
smile as we then see what Carlos is complaining about (This is definitely a
once in a lifetime sight of Carlos).
Carlos is dressed like an old woman
near a senior center. He's wearing a pale blue print dress, thick dark
blue beaded necklace, a navy blue sweater over the dress, dark shoes (only
a 1/2 in. heel and he's complaining), opaque white nylons, carrying a dark
purse. He's also sporting a gray wig and a lot of make up (looks like an
old Hispanic woman with a lot of makeup, only without the loud color
outfit).
Carlos is still complaining about who's idea this was and Walker
and Trivette continue to smile and tell him why they're doing this "real"
undercover moment. Carlos says he understand, but he doesn't get how
someone could mistake him for a woman (at this time a few guys are coming
up behind Carlos'/Carla). And Trivette's response to this is to tell
Carlos he always thought that Carlos had a certain "feminine quality"
(meanwhile Walker is laughing in the background).
Carlos isn't too keen on
that response and Walker repeats it, just as Carlos spots their
perpetrators and tells Walker that there are four morons (as he readjusts
his rather well endowed chest). (The costume people must have enjoyed
choosing his figure and they look somewhat real too).
The four
perpetrators are standing off Carlos' shoulder talking about how the old
woman (Carlos) is talking to herself, she's an easy target. As Carlos
scratches his leg, one of the men tries to grab Carlos' purse, but Carlos
flings the guy with the purse. The other men are dropped on by Walker and
Trivette. The guy Carlos flung, picks up Carlos in the dress and spins
Carlos around. While Walker and Trivette are fighting Carlos is spinning
and yelling WOA!
Carlos finally pins the guy's head, and the guy lets
Carlos down, then Carlos socks the guy in the stomach (ouch) and finishes
off with one to the chin.
After the fight Carlos, wipes his spit and says
that "it's hard fighting in a dress" and Trivette looks at Carlos like
"you just did not say that Carlos" as both he and Walker look at Carlos a
little funny. Carlos gives them that "don't even" look, and the two do
that "we didn't say a thing" bit and Carlos folds his arms across his
chest. Then he realizes that it's not possible with his new large
endowment there and put his arms down, then shuffs the purse to the ground
as Walker begins to laugh.
At H.O.P.E. we see Donna standing in front of
Alex, and Trent in a black turtle neck carrying a box of equipment for a
self defense class. He asks Donna about her daughter, Sally. She says
Sally wants to go to San Antonio and Trent says he's cheering in her
corner.
Alex tells Trent to put the stuff in the back until she can figure
out where to put it. Alex gives Donna a job interview time and Donna
winces cause Sally has to practice, Trent offers to take her to practice.
Sally and Trent practice, after practice the two have a drink and pass a
priest (Riggs in disguise) as the two walk down the street Sally poses
questions if Trent thinks she's pretty. Trent answers so sweetly that
she's beautiful in her special way, just as the priest comes up to Trent
and says a young woman back in the alley needed help.
Trent follows,
telling Sally to stay where she is.
Trent and the priest (Riggs) go to the
alley and find nothing. The priest jumps Trent and the two begin to fight
(Trent gets thrown into the windshield of a car and holds his own real well
for a while). Then the priest pulls out a knife and Trent's doing real
good until he blocks through instead of off and he gets stabbed in the
heart near the aorta. The priest then punches Trent and Trent hits the
floor. The priest leans over Trent to finish the job, just as Sally sees
and begins to call for help.
Sally and the priest (Riggs) stand looking at
each other as we hear people in the background trying to find where Sally
is calling from, and Busey disappears (Trent is not moving and looks really
bad). Two construction/utility workers come and call for 911.
At the
hospital Walker, Trivette, and Carlos (in the background shadows) are
waiting for news as Alex walks in very concerned. The surgeon comes out
and says that Trent has made it and that his good healthy lifestyle got him
this far, but not to be too hopeful, because his aorta was knicked and a
lung punctured. The surgeon also says that it's all up to Trent (the
wound was deadly, no joke).
They all pile into Trent's room (Carlos
first), and Trent looks really bad (just like Alex did in the episode The
Wedding, when she was in a coma). Carlos says that they (him, Walker and
Trivette) have to get the guy who did this and Walker agrees.
At Foley's
house, he's criticizing Riggs work with Trent still a alive and now there
was a new witness. Riggs assures that Trent won't be able to testify and
that the "retarded" girl will be dealt with.

Back in the hospital, Carlos is talking to Trent. While Trent isn't
awake, it's a good theory that friends, family and loved ones by talking
(or significant others kissing) can bring a person out of their bad
predicament (the Sleeping Beauty episode, yes some doctors believe in this
or have seen it happen). So Carlos is talking, hoping that his voice will
reach Trent inside and help Trent keep up his fight for life.
We then see
Carlos begin to tear/cry (yes he is crying, and it's still manly to do that
stuff). Carlos then moves into the hallway and sits outside with tears
still in his eyes, watching doctors move through the hospital.
He then
gets up and moves toward a payphone across the hall. It looks as though
he's about to call someone (maybe Trent's family), but instead Carlos
punches a hole in the hospital wall (ouch!!) to relieve his pain (and
instead causing more pain). As Walker tells Carlos to relax, Carlos wipes
away a tear and the two discuss why Trent wasn't armed (the whole
accidental shooting as a child flashes in Carlos' mind) and how Walker will
remedy that with Trent when he gets out and they have a nice talk.
Walker
notices the hole Carlos put in the wall and Carlos examines his hand (of
course it's going to hurt. Wall vs. hand, who do you think won?) as Walker
tells Carlos to plug up the hole (though we never find out what he did to
cover the hole).
Later at the crime scene (possibly the next day even
cause Carlos has different clothes on) Carlos, Walker and Trivette are
talking about the good job of gathering evidence and how this makes no
sense to Carlos. Carlos points out that next to Walker, Trent was the best
at martial arts. Walker agrees and says that from the medical report,
Trent sustained severe contusions as a result of a fight. Which meant that
Trent had been holding his own until the assailant pulled out the knife,
and whoever the assailant is-they are good at their work.
Carlos suggests
that maybe Foley hired the assailant to bump off Trent, to keep him from
giving his damaging testimony that Trent was going to give.
At the Foley
house, his attorney is trying to quit. But Foley doesn't want another
attorney because this attorney knows to much and would be a liability. The
attorney gives into the pressure from Foley for the sake of his family.
Back at ranger HQ Sally and the computer sketch artist, Gloria, are working
on creating a profile of the priest that attacked Trent. Alex walks into
HQ announcing that her extension for the trial is in consideration. And
that without Trent's testimony there was no case against Foley.
Sally
continues with Gloria and finally gets the profile that they needed. And
they then alter the picture bit to show the sketch in a plain t-shirt, not
a priest collar. Walker tells Carlos to stay with Sally and Diane, to make
sure that nothing happens to them, just in case.
At Sally's house the next
day, we inch up a body of someone snoring in a pair of white socks, plaid
night pants, forest green drape and an olive/grey shirt. We then see that
it's Carlos snoring/sleeping on the couch and that Sally is just "inches"
from Carlos (all you SQ goers would understand the previous quote marks).
And Carlos awakens to see Sally, as she comments on how he makes noise when
he sleeps. Sally's mother is a bit shocked by this and tells her to get
ready (it's raining outside). Diane gives Carlos a cup of coffee and
explains Sally's remark of saying what's on her mind.
Carlos comments on
it as being refreshing.
At a biker bar, Riggs is stirring up trouble to
create trouble for Walker and Trivette who will be coming to this bar
shortly after they receive an anonymous call about the ID on the man who
stabbed Trent. The bikers try to gang up on Riggs, but Riggs controls the
situation.
Trivette then gets a call from the Raindrop Roadhouse, and this
is where the fun begins.
*****Commercials*****
Driving up to the Raindrop Roadhouse, Walker and Trivette encounter
the bikers that Riggs set the hit for. Only thing is Walker and Trivette
wipe the floor with these boys (first time that floor has had a cleaning).
The biker leader of the hurting group spills his guts and Trivette finds
the glass that Riggs was drinking from. They take the glass with them for
forensics to dust over.
Back at the judge's chambers, Alex is pleading to
delay the trial of Mr. Foley, but Foley's lawyer is putting time questions
to a speedy trial and how his client is being tailed through the mud by
this impending trial.
That evening at Diane and Sally's house, Carlos is
helping Diane set the table (though he's doing it wrong) and complimenting
Diane on raising Sally. Diane gets into how Sally's father hung around for
a while but couldn't handle it and left (as she is correcting the improper
setting of the table). And Carlos sees this, then just smiles (oh thud).
Back at the Foley residence, Foley is once again criticizing Riggs for
being IDed by Sally.
Then we shift to a very high class restaurant where a
woman (Gloria the sketchiest is sitting on her own). Riggs walks in with
glasses and buys Gloria a drink (now why she doesn't recognize him is beyond
me). And he uses that little deja vu ploy (a little disappointing too).
Back at the hospital Alex comes over to Walker, who is over seeing Trent
and tells Walker that the trial is on, but the other witnesses are scared
to testify. Walker suggests quitting and ticks Alex off (it's quiet funny
and gets her refocused on the trial).
Riggs romances Gloria for a while
and walks her to her car. He then shows his true colors and the light bulb
(though obviously dim) shines for Gloria as Riggs gets info he wants and
kills Gloria. He then stuffs her in the trunk of her car. A man walking a
dog finds blood leaking from a car and once the police take the scene, they
find it's Gloria.
Trivette then comes back with two good finger prints
from the glass and gets the name of Donovan Riggs.
Well Walker and
Trivette at the scene figure out that Riggs got to Gloria to find out about
Sally and that Carlos and Sally are in danger.
Outside Diane's house,
Sally and Carlos are stretching (he's still wearing that shirt he slept
in). Diane comes out the house and tells Carlos he didn't have to do this
(I guess that means Sally usually runs on her own), but Carlos says he
wants to and that it's not everyday he gets to run with an Olympiad.
As
the two take off, Riggs follows them in a maroon sedan (looks like a Crown
Vic.)
*****Commercials*****
We come back to Carlos and Sally running, then switch to a speeding
Walker and Trivette in the truck. Trivette hangs up his cell phone and
announces that Diane told him that Sally and Carlos went running just a bit
earlier.
Back to Carlos and Sally, Carlos plays with a water fountain for
a moment then tells Sally to take a drink. Sally, while Carlos is
drinking, poses the question about how Carlos knows Trent and if he'll be
alright. Carlos tells Sally that they have known each other since the were
about Sally's age and that he does believe that Trent will get better
(though he doesn't look convinced about what he said, he looks like a child
there).
Carlos and Sally continue their run as Riggs comes right up behind
Carlos and tackles him. Sally recognizes Riggs and so does Carlos, Carlos
tells Sally to run. She does so while Carlos struggles with Riggs. But
Riggs knows what he's doing and with one careful punch, puts Carlos out
(who are we kidding, Carlos has gone wimp on us, he took more of a beating
in Undercover).
Riggs then goes after Sally, just as Walker comes and
tales Riggs on. Sally runs off and Riggs says he's been waiting for
Walker, while Trivette checks on Carlos. Walker and Riggs go at it and
after an elaborate fight scene, Walker finally kicks Riggs' butt and good.
Nice match up, gave Walker a challenge (even with a knife).
Sally comes
out again and hugs Walker and tells him she's scared.
We then go to the
area courthouse, where Alex is going against Mr. Foley and his attorney.
As the judge calls for Alex to bring a witness, she hesitates (either for
suspense or cause she really has no witnesses. We really don't know).
The judge asks twice and just as Alex looks like she's going to admit
defeat, the court room doors open with Carlos pushing Trent in a wheelchair
(yes!!!!!!!WAHOOOOO) Alex announces Trent and the defendant, Mr. Foley,
looks like he's in it deep.
Carlos wheels Trent to the stand and Trent
tryingly walks to the stand and puts his hand on the Bible.
We then switch
to the Special Olympics in San Antonio where Walker, Trivette, Alex, CD,
Carlos, Trent are cheering Sally on. Sally passes Carlos and Trent (who
stands though, he shouldn't if he's in a wheelchair for his condition) and
runs to Walker. Sally wins the race and hugs Walker at the finish.
