Kassie DePaiva's Bio

  Kassie was born on March 21 in Morganfield, Kentucky. She was rasied there in a happy family. She has two older brothers and a younger sister.
   Growing up Kassie worked at Nashville,  Tennessee's Opryland as a singer.  At age 18, she debuted as a soloist at the legendary Grand Ole

Opry. She sang two songs. It was while she was working at Opryland that she realised that she wanted to be an entertainer.

She enrolled in Indiana University and later at University of California at Los Angeles to study theater.
   While  at UCLA she joined the four - part harmony group, Newport. They preformed in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas. Later Kassie dropped out of UCLA to  join the USO. They traveled to Japan, Korea, and Okinawa.
    When Kassie returned to the United States she sang back -up for soul singer, Bobby Womack. She preformed with Womack thought  the United States and one Great Britian tour. It wasn't long afterwards that she got her first

acting role, as Bobbie Jo in the feature film, " Evil Dead II".

  Kassie then got her first soap role as Chelsea Reardon on Guilding Light. After leaving Guiding Light she had guest-star apperances on "Melrose Place, Baywatch, and Timetrax. In December 1993 Kassie takes over the role of Blair Damiler on ,

" One Life to Live". She also served as co-host on the synicated show," The Pro Shop".

  Currently Kassie is married to James DePaiva, (Max Holden on the Soap Opera One Life to Life ).  They have one daughter Dreama from James first marriage ,  and one son , James Quentin, who was born on May 12, 1997.  JQ was born with a hearing

problem, but has undergone surgery, and his future looks bright. Kassie is currently working on her singing career.

Her CD should be coming out in November, 2000.
