Metra F40C 602 eases into the Elgin Metra Station.  Patterned after Amtrak's SDP40F, the F40C's were purchased by the Milwaukee Road for it's suburban Chicago operations in 1974.

Metra’s EMD F40C locomotives were still running fast and furious on the former Milwaukee Road line from Chicago out to Elgin.  Here the 602 rounds a curve while pulling into the Elgin station.
