RICHARDS HOUSE: Annie had a nightmare that Cole and Gregory were throwing knives at her. When she woke up, she realized that if the truth came out about Trey, Gregory would kill her and make it look like she committed suicide. Bette walked in as she packed to leave. Bette told her niece that she knew that Annie's marriage was over, and that she felt bad for her, even if she never wanted her to marry him in the first place. She also told Annie that she needs to make sure that Gregory gives her a healthy divorce settlement.
Caitlin walked in while Cole was calling the cell phone company pretending to be Gregory to ask them what phone calls Annie has made in the last year. While holding Trey in his arms, Cole told Caitlin that AJ asked him to find Olivia's baby, but he was reluctant to tell her more. Caitlin asked what would happen to AJ and Olivia's relationship if Cole were to find the baby.
Bette got a phone call that Gabi and Antonio were trapped. Bette and Caitlin left for the resort. Caitlin left a note for Cole, which Annie intercepted. She declared that she was going to tell Caitlin about Cole's affair with Olivia unless he agreed to not pry any more into her dealings with Brock.
THE ROAD TO PALM SPRINGS: When Ben accused Meg of following him, she explained that she had just come there to get away from Sunset Beach. Ben reluctantly offered to give her a ride to somewhere she could call a tow truck from, but then his car wouldn't start. When he continued to insist that she followed him, she reminded him that she promised to stay away from him until he made a decision. She asked if he could call a tow truck from his cell phone, and he said that he could, except he left his cell phone in the hotel room. They ended up having to walk to get help in the rain.
THE RESORT: Ricardo suggested that since the building was backed up against the caves, they could get in through the beach caves. Gregory said that he didn't want anyone going after Gabi and Antonio with Ricardo's plan. Ricardo explained that his family is his first priority, just like Gregory, and that he was going in with or without his permission. Gregory gave his permission. In the rubble, sure they were facing certain death, Gabi and Antonio made love. Meanwhile, Ricardo, Casey and Hank reached the other side of the beach cave wall from Ricardo and Gabi. Just as Antonio promised to love Gabi forever, they heard Ricardo calling out for them.
SHOCK WAVE: Carmen told Sara and Joan that the death card could mean death, and it could also mean a new beginning. Francesca told Gregory that she wouldn't have anything to do with AJ unless he gave her an advance on the five million Gregory promised her. Francesca became upset that Antonio was trapped in the building, and Carmen introduced herself to Francesca. Carmen was interrupted in the middle of reading the cards, so Francesca turned over the last card which, she believed, proved that there was nothing to this tarot card thing. It was The Lovers. Caitlin walked in on Gregory and Francesca conspiring.
AN UNKNOWN PLACE: Meg and Ben took shelter in an abandoned house. Ben explained a Native American wedding tradition to Meg. They kissed.
