NOT JUST AN ACTOR

ALL MY CHILDREN star Cameron Mathison(Ryan Lavery) had a chance to participate in the highly publicized annual event known as Fashion Week in New York City a few weeks ago. The event is held so that fashion designers from around the industry can show off their collections spring 2001.

Mr.Mathison, a former professional model, and several other daytime and prime time male stars took part in showing off the collection of designer David Chu, founder of the Nautica clothing company. Chu decided that this year, he was going to use actors instead of actual model to show off his clothes to demonstrate that his line of menswear are made for real people.

Before the runway showing, Mr. Mathison talked to the STYLE channel which is a sister show of cable's E! Entertainment Television and covers this big event and said he was thrilled to be included in Fashion Week.  "I just think it's got to be cool," he told STYLE. "I don't know, they asked me to be in it- I was flattered to be asked...to be included with a lot of these guys, being in a New York collection show. I just think that's kinda neat- I don't

know, I just think I'll probably get a big kick out of it."
As it turns out, Mathison showed off his prowess on the runway very nicely and the show was a huge success for Nautica!
Other daytime stars that were included in the show were former fellow AMC star Forbes March(Scott) and Jason-Shane Scott(Will, One Life to Live), both of whom are former models as well.
