21 Jump Street

Welcome to my new page for 21 Jump Street. A recent fan, I have only had the epsideos on tape since just after Christmas, up the 7th episode of season 3 anyhow. But have already managed to watch most of them twice! *G*
It is that good!!

I'm not very techno-minded so this won't be a very fancy page. Basic html and links I'm afraid, until I get better. The main things I'm hoping to have on here will be fanfiction and an episode guide (my style!) and any other information or links I can find.

I'm doing most of this via library computers in my lunch hours so it may be a slow process. Keep coming and checking though. Please..

The Show

Basically 21 Jump Street was a show that ran between 1987 and 1991. It centred on a group of young looking rookie cops. Specially chosen because they looked so young, they worked in a program called Jump Street which sent them undercover into High Schools, posing as teenagers.

The Characters

In the beginning there were 5 main characters:

Tom Hanson
Officer Tom Hanson was a second generation cop, his father having died when he was sixteen. At the start of the program he is idealistic and by the book. A neat freak and a member of the bowling league he is the most 'geeky' of the bunch. As the show prgresses so does Tom's character and we see a real growth, probably the most of all of them(IMO). Apparently by the time season 4 rolls around most of the orginal Hanson is gone (which saddens me as that is the part about him I like. love season 1 and 2 Hanson...)
Playing by Johnny Depp.

Doug Penhall
The muscle man with a heart. Doug was all bluster and muscle, loud but he had a heart of gold. His mother committed suicide when he was six and his father drank himself to death. Doug survived into the fifth season but as I've only got up to the first few eps of season 3 I can't comment on anything past that yet.
Played by Peter Deluise

Judy Hoffs
Was truly a fantastic female character. One of my favourite female characters on any show. She is sexy and smart and a fantastic undercover cop.
Played by Holly Robinson, who incidentally also sang the theme song used on the titles.

Harry Trueman Ioki
Ioki is at tthe start of the show portrayed as a Japanese native. In an episode of season 2 we are shown that Ioki is infact a Viet refugee who came over to the states when he was 14.

Episode Guide **Not much there yet**
This is going to be a listing of all the episodes. I am going through each one I have on tape and making notes, musings, mostly in bullet points of things that occur to me as I'm watching them. It may be a bit disorganised or bitty so for that I apologise in advance :O) This is what I shall be working on the most at the moment.

Fanfiction **Link not active yet**
I'm hoping to have some fanfic written soon. I'm working on two fics as I type, but with my history of finishing stuff *heh* I can hope though.....

Quotes**Link not active**
I'm hoping to collect all my favourite quotes here. I have quite a few already through doing the episode guide but I'm going to try and collect them all here.

Actor spotting**Link not active**
I'm collating a list of all the bit part actors that turn up in episodes that I know from elsewhere. I was surprised as I was watching how many faces I actually recognised and started to write them all down. Thought I may as well put them up here.

Tapes
With the question of tapes. I have been lucky enough to get copies from a very kind person in the states. I would help others but unfortunately I don't currently have any way of copying video or vcds. I feel bad, but technology hasn't caught up with me yet, I don't even have my own PC *sigh* and I don't want to risk sending them to people to be copied. Sorry. I know there's a demand for copies out there.
