Part I


FIRST SIGHT
(Lizzie meets Lucky for the first time)


{Lizzie comes back out into the courtyard and lights a cigarette}

Lucky: {From the shadows} "Better be carefull. You could stunt your growth."
Lizzie: {Turning} "Is there a reason you care?"
Lucky: {Coming into the light next to her} "Uh-uh."
Lizzie: {Checking him out} "Oh. Well, that's too bad. What's your name?"




Lucky:"Lucky."
Lizzie: {Smiling} We'll see."
Lucky: "You think you're pretty funny, don't you?"
Lizzie: "Oh, I'm much more than funny. I didn't hurt your feelings, did I?"
Lucky: "I think I can take it."
Lizzie: {Looking him up and down} "Yeah, but can you dish it out?"
Lucky: {Laughing} "You know, I think those cigarettes are doing something to your head." Lucky: "You know what? You're right. I mean, if you want to fry your lungs, I just--I hope you have a good time." {Walking around her}
Lizzie: "Well, you, certainly know what to say to a girl."
Lucky: "Only ones with ashtray breath."




Lizzie: {She waves the smoke out of the way} "Oh. Like you could really smell it from all the way over there. {She drops the cigarette} Um--God, you know, I'm really thirsty. Do you know a place where we can go get a beer?"
Lucky: "Yeah."
Lizzie: "Ok."
Lucky: "You gotta be kidding me."
Lizzie: "Wait. Don't tell me you have something against beer, too."
Lucky: {Amused} "No, I don't care. It's just that, uh--I can't imagine someone like you being arrested."
Lizzie: "Ok, well, then how about just a soda? I mean, anyplace but this dump."
Lucky: "What's wrong with Kelly's?"
Lizzie: "How about the crone behind the counter?"
Lucky: "Ruby."
Lizzie: "Like I need to know her name."
Lucky: "What, uh, what did she do to you?"
Lizzie: "She didn't serve me."
Lucky: {Making a face} "The nerve. Who cares that she could lose her liquor license if she served someone underage."
Lizzie: "Well, I don't see any cops here. Anyways, who cares about her? She's just a pathetic old hag who has nothing to do but push people around."
Lucky: "You think so?"
Lizzie: "Oh, I know so. Why are we talking about that old buzzard, anyways?"
Lucky: "She's my aunt." {Lizzie looks uncomfortable}
Lizzie: "Well, I have to go."
Lucky: "Ok. You live around here?"
Lizzie: "You can't come over, if that's what you're thinking."
Lucky: "I was wondering how you got here."
Lizzie: "I drove."
Lucky: "Oh. You have a car."
Lizzie: "Yeah. Doesn't everybody?"
Lucky: "So, you have a license."
Lizzie: "Well, I don't know about you, but I find little details like that really boring."
Lucky: "What, did you steal the family wheels?"
Lizzie: "Oh, sorry, that's my secret. You don't actually hang out here, do you?"
Lucky: "Quite a bit."
Lizzie: "Really. Well, work on that for next time, will you? Bye." {She starts to leave}
Lucky: "Wait. What's your name?"
Lizzie: "My name? Uma Thurman."
Lucky: "Uma. Well, it was nice to meet you."
Lizzie: "Same here. I guess this was my 'lucky' night." {He goes into Kelly's to the counter and Lizzie stands in the doorway looking in, smiling}

(She gets home and is busted by Audrey for having taken the car. She informs Audrey that she has decided to stay in Port Charles for a while. When she is alone, Lizzie grabs a pen and some paper, draws a heart, and puts Lizzie + Lucky in the middle, smiling)



BRENDA'S WEDDING DAY
(Lizzie tried to weezle's her way in !)

Lizzie: {At the entrance to the church, Lizzie runs up to the guards} "Hi. I hope I didn't miss anything. My car's in the shop so I had to take public transit. And you know how that is."
Guard: "Yes, I do. {He looks at the invitation. Lucky walks around in the lobby to see her standing there} Ruby Anderson?"



Lizzie: {Whispering} "Do you have to shout? {Two more guards come up behind her and she looks around but still tries to bluff her way in} Is there a problem?" {She looks inside to see Lucky watching her amazed}
Lizzie: {Defensively} "I don't have a picture ID."
Guard: {Very skeptical} "You have a car but no license?"
Lizzie: {Going through her purse. Lucky is watching silently} "Look, I've got pictures of me and my family. I've got a picture of my sister. Look. (Holding out her wallet) Isn't she pretty?She'd go out with you."
Lucky: {Coming over to the door} "Elizabeth."
Lizzie: "He knows me!"
Guard: {Turning to Lucky} "We just found your aunt's invitation." {Lucky raises his eyebrows and they both turn to look at Lizzie}

Lizzie: "I saw it sitting on the counter. I didn't know whose it was so I just thought that, you know--"
Lucky: "Oh. You thought I left it for you."
Lizzie: "Yes!" {Smiling}
Lucky: {He pulls the guard aside for a private conversation} "I invited her to come with me."
Guard: "Then why didn't she?"
Lucky: "We had a fight. I mean, it was nothing. She saw me with this other girl--"
Guard: "You're not as smooth as your old man yet."
Lucky: "Look. You saw inside her bag. She's obviously not packing anything removable underneath that little dress of hers, okay? Come on."
Lizzie: {The guard looks at Lucky and then walks back to the doorway. The other two guards leave and Lizzie moves to Lucky's side} "Oh. You are so awesome! You think that guy ever killed anyone before?"
Lucky: "You could ask him. Maybe he'll demonstrate." {He turns around and walks off. Lizzie sighs and then follows}
Bobbie: {Lucky sits down beside her and Ruby} "What happened to you? They made us come in and sit down."
Lucky: "I got to talking to somebody." {Lizzie comes and sits down beside him}
Bobbie: "Hi, Elizabeth."
Lizzie: "Hi." {Looking around Lucky, smiling}
Lucky: {Not looking at her} "I don't know you" (Liz just settles back , smirking at him)



Lucky: "Look. You weaseled your way in here. You saw what there was to see. And now you're getting a ride home. Just be grateful."
Lizzie: {Smiling} "I am." {Lizzie kisses him on the cheek. He looks at her a moment, surprised and then walks off}
