The Lines You Love!!
Part II

THE SEX POLICE?

Lizzie: "Ruby, I've got to leave right away."
Ruby: "No, you don't. You've got a couple more hours on your shift."
Lizzie: "It's a family emergency. Really. Listen, I'll work a double shift on Saturday if you want, but I've really got to go. Please? {Ruby nods} Oh, thank you." {She takes off her apron and starts to leave} Lucky: {Stopping her on her way out} "Elizabeth? You keep pushing Ruby to fire you and she will."
Lizzie: "I don't care. Sarah's in trouble, and she needs me."
Lucky: "What kind of trouble? {She gets her coat and heads out the door} Elizabeth, what-- {Turning to Ruby} I'm going to go see if she's ok." {Following her}

Lucky: {Getting inside the car} "The key is upside down."
Lizzie: "Oh. Thanks."
Lucky: "Your grandmother's car?"
Lizzie: "No, it's my grandfather's. Sarah left it here when she went off with the evil Prince in his Ferrari or whatever. Gram leaves the key in the bumper, so--"
Lucky: "She doesn't mind you driving her car without a license?" Lizzie: "I've got a learner's permit."
Lucky: "Not quite the same thing to the cops."
Lizzie: "Lucky, this is an emergency."
Lucky: "A family emergency, right? Because that's what you told Ruby."
Lizzie: "Yeah, so I've got to go, ok?"
Lizzie: "Yeah, well, she will be as soon as Nik gets her alone. He's taking her to his family's retreat, wherever that is. It's probably some torture chamber with bars on the windows and--" {She sighs deeply}
Lucky: "I know the place. My dad's been there."
Lizzie: "Oh, great. Then you can give me directions."
Lucky: "You know what? I'll just tell you as we go."
Lizzie: "Lucky, that's really nice, but you don't have to come along."
Lucky: "No, hey, I insist. Now let's go. Come on." {Lizzie rolls her eyes and reluctantly starts the car}
Lucky: "I wasn't giving you a hard time when I told you to slow down, I meant it!"

Lizzie: {Aggravated} "Do you want to drive?"
Lucky: "Well, that might be the best idea you've had so far."
Lizzie: "How much further is this place?"
Lucky: "It's only about another five miles."
Lizzie: "Are you kidding me? God, we're never going to make it."
Lucky: {The car starts to slide} "Whoa, Elizabeth! Wait, wait." Lizzie: "Let me just put the brakes on."
Lucky: "No no, no, no, don't hit the brakes, just turn the wheel. Just turn the wheel. Just turn the wheel." {Lucky grabs the wheel and the car goes off the road}
Lizzie: {Spinning the tires} "Great we're stuck."
Lucky: "You're just making it worse."
Lizzie: "I come from Colorado, I know how to drive in ice." {Tires spin}
Lucky: "You mind if I try?"
Lizzie: "I said I can do it! {Lucky holds up his hands} Come on. Catch." {Tires spin}

Lucky: "Ok, look, you want to sit here and work out your frustrations, that's fine. It'll probably be good for you. But as for me, I'm going to get help for us and Sarah. I'll see if I can find my dad." {Starting to get out of the car}
Lizzie: "Wait! Your dad? For what?"
Lucky: "Why are we here, Elizabeth? You said you were worried that Sarah was in trouble at the Cassadine retreat house, right? Yeah." {He starts to get out again}
Lizzie: {Stopping him} "Wait, wait."
Lucky: "What."
Lizzie: {Pausing for a long moment} "I exaggerated. Sarah's not in actual danger from the Cassadines."
Lucky: "You told me that Nikolas--"
Lizzie: "I know, I know. I know what I told you. I'm sorry. Sarah arranged to meet Nikolas."
Lucky: "Oh, so they're on a date."
Lizzie: "Yeah. A major date, though. I think she's going to go to bed with him."
Lizzie: "I overheard Sarah telling Emily that she was going to meet Nikolas at his family's retreat. Lucky, they were talking about using condoms."
Lucky: {Covering his ears, closing his eyes, and shaking his head} "I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear a thing about it." {Talking to himself} I can't believe I let her hussel me out here."
Lizzie: "Lucky, I'm worried about my sister." Lucky: "Since when?"
Lizzie: "Oh, and just for the record, I didn't ask you to come along."
Lucky: "Oh, no, you just made up some cock-and-bull story about how Nikolas lured Sarah out to his family retreat to harm her, and I'm gullible enough to believe you." {He slaps his forhead in frustration}
Lizzie: "Which means what? You don't care if the two of them sleep together?"
Lucky: "What are you the sex police?"Look, if Sarah is naive enough to fall for his act, it's their business."
Lizzie: "I thought you cared about her."
Lucky: "I do. Believe me, I do. That's why I wouldn't break down their door to keep her from sleeping with him. What were you thinking? What could you possibly be--you know what? I don't even want to know what you were thinking. You know, you weren't thinking. You're just doing what you always do, which is being jealous of your sister."

LIZZIE ASK'S LUCKY TO THE
VALENTINE'S DAY DANCE

{At Kelly's, Lucky is standing behind the counter filling containers when he looks up and sees Lizzie}

Lucky: "You been watching me this whole time?"
Lizzie: {Walking over} "Yeah. I'm waiting for the part where you pour the ketchup from the almost empty bottles into the less empty bottles."
Lucky: "Anything for a thrill, huh?"
Lizzie: {Sitting down at the counter} "Hey, it's the highlight of my day."

Lucky: "You know, I'm starting to get the feeling that Port Charles is getting a little, what's the word, dull?"
Lizzie: "Dull would have been an improvement. How was your trip?"
Lucky: "Duller."
Lizzie: "Well then, welcome back."
Lucky: {Laughing} "Thanks." {He goes over to a table and starts clearing it}
Lizzie: {Watching him, she gets up to face him} "So, are you going to go to that dance tomorrow night?"
Lucky: "You know, I just got in this morning. I forgot about it. Are you going?"
Lizzie: "Oh. I don't know. I was thinking about it. You know, just for laughs."
Lucky: "Yeah."
Lizzie: "But I don't want to get hit on by the pity patrol, you know? I mean, if I wanted to dance with those dorks, I would have asked them out myself, right?"
Lucky: "I know what you mean. Well, I might go."
Lizzie: "Oh?"
Lucky: "Well, what else is there to do on a Friday night around here, you know?" {He walks around her to the counter}
Lizzie: "Nothing much. {Turning around and trying to be casual} Hey! Well, you know, why don't you and I meet each other there? I mean, we don't have to do anything, we can just hang out for the night. Besides, then people will see us together and they'd leave us alone, right?"
Lucky: "That sounds cool."
Lizzie: "Yeah"

Lucky: "Mm hmm."
Lizzie: "Oh. Ok cool. Well then I guess I'll see you tomorrow night."
Lucky: "Sure."
Lizzie: "Great. Look for me, I'll be the one in the dress." {He laughs and she gets up and leaves, turning back at the door and smiling before continuing out}

BRINGING SARAH??

{The doorbell rings and Lizzie jumps up and opens it to find Lucky}

Lizzie: "Hey!"
Lucky: "Hey. How's it going?"
Lizzie: "Great. But, aren't you a little early? I thought we were going to meet each other at the dance."
Lucky: "That's why I came over."
Lizzie: "Oh, okay, cool! Well, come in."
Lucky: "Thanks." {He walks in}
Lizzie: "I just got in myself."
Lucky: "Oh. There's just something I wanted to run by you."
Lizzie: "Start running." {She goes over to the couch and sits down, putting the box with her new dress on the floor}
Lucky: "I just wanted to be sure we're on the same page about tonight. Because, you know, we said we'd catch up with each other at the dance.
But since it's not a 'date' date, you know, I can--it's okay if I bring someone, right?"
Lizzie: {Looking at him stunned} "You want to bring someone?"

Lucky: "Well, you know how bummed Sarah's been ever since Nikolas got hurt and blew her off."
Lizzie: "You're taking Sarah?"
Lucky: "Well, she kind of asked if I'd go along so she wouldn't have to walk in alone. I mean, I'm just glad she's going at all. I mean, she's sick of sitting around and crying over the guy. She's ready to have a life again, you know?
Lizzie: {Smiling} "Cool? It's beyond cool. I mean, I can't believe this. This is such amazing timing. Chad Rendell just called. You know Chad, right? He's part of the basketball team."
Lucky: "Let me think--do I know Chad? He's the guy who scored 42 points last time, isn't he?"
Lizzie: "That's him. We have a study hall class together and have become pretty friendly. Anyway, he called and was fishing around whether I was going to go to the dance or not, and I told him that I didn't exactly have a date, but I was meeting someone there. But now I can just call him back and make a definite plan."
Lucky: "All right. Well, hey, it's a win-win situation. I mean, I don't know Chad, but he seems pretty cool. Okay. Well, I will meet both of you at the dance then. Okay. I better get going. {Lizzie gets up as Lucky turns and starts for the door} Oh, say hi to your grandmother."
Lizzie: "Yeah. Sure."
Lucky: "I'll see ya."
Lizzie: "Okay. Bye."
Lucky: "Bye." {He leaves and she closes the door, looking heartbroken. She runs for the box and takes out her dress, wadding it up as Audrey comes down the stairs}
