The Lines You Love!!
Part III

VALENTINE'S DAY
THE ATTACK

{Lucky, Sarah and Deanie walk into Kelly's}

Lucky: "The dance was a bust, wasn't it?"
Deanie: "I know, we should have come here, we'd have had a lot more fun."
Sarah: "It wasn't that bad. It could have been worse"
Lucky: "Oh, come on. There were more parents and teachers there. And the band." {They sit at the counter}

Lucky: " I'd still like to know what happened to Elizabeth. It's kind of weird that she and her date didn't show up at all." {He gets out a pie and some plates}

Sarah: "I didn't even know she had a date. They probably just decided to go somewhere else. I mean, now that you think about it, a lot of people didn't show up, you know. Besides people like Nikolas who think they are too cool to do 'kid stuff' like go to dances, you know. {Lucky sighs and rolls his eyes} Oh, I'll just have a piece of pie, no ice cream. I'm going to go play some music." {She leaves}

Lucky: "Deanie? Is it me, or did she mention the Cassadine creep about a hundred times tonight."

Deanie: "You're not imagining it."

Lucky: "She's obsessed with the guy."

{A bunch of guys come in Kelly's and Lucky watches them}

Lucky: "That's Chad Rendell, the guy Elizabeth was supposed to go to the dance with."

Sarah: "I didn't even know she knew him."

Lucky: {He gets up and walks over to their table} "Excuse me. Chad?"

Chad: "Yeah, that's me."

Lucky: "I'm Lucky Spencer."

Chad: "Right, right, right. No, I've seen you around. What can I do for you?"

Lucky: "Some of us were wondering about Elizabeth. She said she was going to the dance, but she was a no show."

Chad: "Well, is that supposed to mean something to me?"

Lucky: "Elizabeth Webber. You know, Sarah's sister? You called about going to the Valentines Dance with her?"

Chad: "You're confusing me with somebody else, my girlfriend's name is Cheryl. And I don't do dances, or I would have taken her."

Lucky: "Oh, all right. Sorry. Thanks." {He walks back to the counter}

Sarah: "Well, what did he say?"

Lucky: "He's never heard of her. Why would Elizabeth make up this big story about some guy she doesn't even know? I mean, doesn't that seem weird?"

Sarah: "No. Liz is making up stories all the time. I mean, if she wants something to be true she just pretends it is. Like, ok, if she had been dating Nikolas instead of me, she would have the whole world believing that she broke up with him, instead of the other way around, you know?"

Lucky: "Maybe, but I'm still curious about where she is."

Sarah: "Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure that Lizzie just had a huge crush on Chad and had some master plan to flirt with him at the dance, found out he wasn't going and decided to hang out with friends."

Lucky: "Elizabeth does have friends, Sarah."

Sarah: "Oh, Lucky, come on, she does so. She probably rented a movie and stayed home."

Lucky: "Well, I'd still like to find out." {He gets up and starts putting on his coat}

Sarah: "Now? I mean, why don't you just call?"

Lucky: "Because she might not answer, and I'd just like to find out for myself."

Sarah: "Ok. Well, you want me to go with you?"

{Lizzie is walking through the park with a bag of popcorn and she sits down on a bench. She looks at her watch and then settles in to pass time. Suddenly she's grabbed from behind and she begins to struggle. Her attacker tries to pull her over the bench, but she fights him. He finally succeeds in dragging her over the bench and into the bushes}

After The Rape
{Lucky Finds Elizabeth}

(Lucky is walking through the park. Lizzie, lying among the bushes, begins to move and tries to get to her knees. Lucky, who just passed by turns back. He hears whimpering and sees someone crawl out from beneath the bushes)

Lucky: "Who's there? {Lizzie looks up and Lucky sees her mascara and tear streaked face. He doesn't move, staring in disbelief. Finally he walks towards her} Oh my God, what the hell happened to you? Elizabeth, are you ok? {He reaches in for her, but she evades him, terrified} Elizabeth, it's Lucky. {She lets him help her up} Are you all right? Are you ok? {He gets her to her feet and starts to move her to the bench} It's ok. It's ok. It's ok. Ok, come on."

Lizzie: {Stuttering} "The--shoe came off and I--can't get it back on. I think I broke it. I can't get my shoe back on." {He finally gets her settled on the bench}

Lucky: {Kneeling in the snow beside her} "That's ok, that's ok, that's something I can fix, ok? Ok, here. {He looks at her legs and then her body and sees all the cuts and bruises} Tell me who did this to you."

Lizzie: {Shaking} "I don't know. I don't know. Oh, my Gram's bracelet. I've got to go get my Gram's bracelet. I must have lost it."

Lucky: "Elizabeth, that's not important right now."

Lizzie: "No, you don't understand. My grandfather gave her this bracelet and it means the world to her."

Lucky: {Trying to calm her} "We'll find it, ok? I promise. I promise. First we have to get the cops ok?"

Lizzie: "No."

Lucky: "We have to get you to the hospital."

Lizzie: "No!" {Upset, she swings around and scrapes the side of his face. She realizes what she's done and looks terrified again}

Lucky: "Look. Somebody--somebody slapped you around a little, that much I can see. I just want to help you. Ok?"

Lizzie: "You can't, you can't help me."

Lucky: "I'm getting you out of here. Ok? That's all I want to do."

Lizzie: {Getting upset again} "No, no. I can't go home. I can't go home right now."

Lucky: "Don't worry, I will take care of you. {They stare at each other until Lizzie finally trusts him and gets to her feet} Ok. Ok. Ok. It's ok. Ok. Come on." {He slowly walks her out of the park}

{Lucky opens the door to the Spencer house and leads Lizzie inside. Foster is sitting beside the door}

Lucky: "It's ok. It's ok. Don't worry. Foster's big, but he's friendly. Besides, your with me. Only with me, by the way. No one else is home. Have a seat. {Lizzie walks further into the room, very unsure} You want some water? Do you want me to get you anything to drink?"

Lizzie: "Can I--can I use your bathroom? I would like to clean up."

Lucky: "Listen to me, Elizabeth. I'm not sure if you should wash up or anything until you've been examined."

Lizzie: "I'm not going to the hospital. I'm fine."

Lucky: "No, your not, ok? You could have been hurt--inside. " Lizzie: "I said no."

Lucky: "Ok, ok. No hospitals. I can work with that, ok. But can we compromise? I can call my Aunt Bobbie, ok? She's the head surgical nurse at General Hospital. You can trust her. Now, she can come over and look at you here, and she won't say a word if you don't want her to."

Lizzie: "Where's Sarah?"

Lucky: "I left Sarah at Kelly's with Deanie. Look, you need to put something dry on, ok? {He hands her a shirt} Put this on, ok? Ok? Ok. {He helps her slowly put on the shirt} Ok. I'm going to go call." {He walks over to the phone puts in some numbers. Meanwhile, Lizzie is trying to cover as much of herself with the shirt as possible} Hi, this is Lucky Spencer, Bobbie Spencer's nephew. I need to speak to her right away, please. Well, do you have any idea how long? Just closing up? Ok. Ok, thank you. {He hangs up and comes over to Lizzie} All right, listen. If I run over there, then I can probably catch her when she comes out of surgery and I can bring her back here. Ok? Will you be all right for 15 or 20 minutes by yourself? I will lock you up tight. Foster will not let anyone near you if I tell him not to." {Foster comes into the room beside Lizzie. She looks at him warily, and then sits down, drawing her knees up and trying to cover herself as much as possible. Foster looks at her and suddenly she jumps up and runs upstairs} {Lizzie pulls closed the shower curtain, and tries to wash her attack away. She gets out and puts on a robe. Meanwhile, a man is slowly walking up the steps to the house. She comes downstairs and sees a shadow outside the door. Suddenly the doorknob turns}

Lizzie: {She backs away, terrified} "No. No. No. No. No. No, no, stay away!"

Luke: {Opening the door and seeing Lizzie} "Hold on. It's ok. It's me, Luke--Luke Spencer. Lucky's dad, remember? I'm sorry. I--nobody's going to hurt you."

Lizzie: {Still shaking} "Mr. Spencer."

Luke: "Yeah. Yeah, and yore Lizzie, right? Yeah, sure. It's ok. So, where's Lucky? Is he upstairs or--"

Lucky: {Rushing through the door} "I saw your car. I just hope you didn't scare her."

Luke: "Well, yeah, I scared her, and she scared me, but I think we're over it, aren't we, Lizzie?"

Lizzie: "Yeah."

Luke: "Bobbie."

Bobbie: {Coming to Lizzie's side} "I understand you're having a pretty rough night. You ok?"

Lizzie: "Yeah."

Lucky: {Turning to Luke} "She got jumped in the park, Dad."

Luke: "Lucky? Talk to me. What happened?"

Lucky: {Walking towards him} "She was raped, Dad. She hasn't said it, but I know it. She was supposed to meet me at the dance, but she never showed, so I went looking for her."

Luke: "You found her in the park? It happened in the park? Where?"

Lucky: {With tears in his eyes} "She just kind of staggered out from the bushes. She looked bad, man. All bruised, and muddy and blood on her legs, you know it's like... Her dress was ripped, and she had one shoe in her hand. {A tear slides down his face} But you know the worst thing was her eyes. They looked like Grams used to. Like something so awful had happened, they couldn't bear to know it. And it's still in there, Dad, that look is still in there. Can you see it?"

Luke: "Yeah, I saw it."
