The Reason...Directed to Angel-lovers
I understand your reason for being on the defensive. I would be too, if someone put up an "I Hate Xander!" site or an "I hate Buffy!" site or whatever, you get what I mean. Let's just set that up right now. I would, however, respect their right to have that site, laugh at it, and go on about my business. This site is supposed to be humorous, and not taken as seriously as some of y'all seem to take it. Believe it or not, I have refrained from putting up some people's reasoning for disliking Angel because it was an insult to David Boreanaz, the actor, and not his character, Angel, which is what the site is about. I expect the people who come by this site, lovers AND haters of Angel, to respect the fact that your own view is not everyone's view and just because YOU like or dislike something, does not mean EVERYONE has to like or dislike someone. And I have to point out that this site is NOT the only "Anti" site on the web. There are numerous sites out there expressing dislike of anything and everything. You can check this out by going to Yahoo. If you need pointed in the right direction, do a search for the word "anti." Another question for Angel-lovers: would you put down a site for expressing love for Angel? Of course you wouldn't. So why do it to me? Of course, an incredibly few amount has been brave enough to email me with contempt for this site. If you did, you might be surprised by how normal and reasonable a person I am, and by how much a fan of BtVS I am. I even run two official Keepers Sites, recognized by the Keeper Network. I just wanted to show everyone that I'm just a person with a dislike for a fictional character, someone who doesn't even exist. A sentiment I bet most of you can share, whether it be a character from a book, a movie, or a tv show. And I really don't see how my page of dislike is different from any other BtVS character page. How It Got Started...
This site was inspired by the awesome Dawson's Creek site "I Hate Jen" (http://www.dawsons.creek.com). I was so impressed by it, I even based some of my designs on them. I want to thank them right now. Thanks!
Anyway, I'm pretty much disliked Angel since I started watching the show. We won't get into why, that's a seperate section, but I have. So when I saw the "I Hate Jen" site, I thought it would be cool to start an "I Hate Angel!" site. I want to say right now that this site is meant to be humorous and not meant to cause harm to or demean the talented actor David Boreanaz. It's just expressing criticism for the character Angel. So that's the history.
