Part 4
They didn't know how they even made it to the hotel. The passion that was
simmering between them erupted when they finally got inside the hotel room.
Sonny took her face in his hands and kissed her hard, not getting enough of
her sweet taste as soon as she shut the door.

She wrapped her arms around him tight, letting go only to get his coat off. He
walked her over to the couch still kissing her. She kissed him back with a
desire that she had never experienced before.

"God, you're beautiful." He murmured as he kissed her exposed neck then her
throat then he lifted his soft lips back to her mouth.

She closed her eyes and reveled in his touch. An overwhelming wave of
dizziness came over her. It was from being so close to him, feeling his warm
breathe on her face and melting in his loving kisses.

She felt his hand on her back trying to unzip her dress and she started to
unbutton his shirt when she reluctantly pulled away.
"Sonny, wait."
Sonny stopped kissing her and sat up.
"What is it ? Do you want me to stop ?" He looked at her with concern,
searching her face to see if he at all hurt her.
"Kissing me ? Never. We're just taking this all too fast. We have to talk
about something first."
He looked at her in understanding. He gently placed his hand on the side of
her face.
"It's okay baby. I've been tested. I'm clean."
"Thank you for saying that but that's not it. Well, its part of it but there's
something I wanted to ask you."
He stroked her hair with his hand
"Whatever it is, you can ask me. You can also tell me anything. I hope you
believe that."
"I do."
"Good, what is it ?"
"What's going to happen in the morning ?"
He looked at her. She was looking back at him with those eyes that he kept
losing himself in.
"After we make love, the bond we feel will only be stronger. I don't know what
else to tell you except that...that I'm -I...I feel like i'm falling in love
with you. You know, I've never done anything spontaneous like this. I always
plan things out and think things through but when i'm with you all those
thoughts, the rationalizations, the reasoning, common sense just flies out the
window when i'm with you. I'm not good with words so that's the best thing I
can tell you. There aren't any guarantees in life, I learned that a long time
ago but I cam promise you that I will still be here in the morning and
everyday after that. I will be with you forever or as long as you want me to
be. No matter what. I will be there for you and take care of you." He said
honestly and emotionally.
Brenda smiled happily, tears running down her face. She could tell that it was
hard for him to say that.
"I believe you. I want to be there for you and take care of you too. Forever.
I'll never stop wanting you."
"Never is a long time."
"Not long enough."
He laughed
"Are you going to keep contradicting everything I say ?"
"Only if you don't quit being so negative and listen to what i'm saying." She
said with a smile.
He leaned in closer to her to kiss her.
"You have so much hope. So much faith. I wish I could be like you."
"Me ?"
"Yeah, so young and innocent. You haven't seen the things I have. It makes you
grow up Real fast."
She frowned. She didn't like where this conversation was going.
"Sonny, just forget about all that. The sadness and pain. Its in the past. Put
it behind you. We've got each other now and its forever. "
She slowly pulled him closer and kissed him
"I'm not so young and innocent you know. I've done a lot of things and seen a
lot of things i'm not proud of-"
He gently placed two fingers on her lips to quiet her.
"Ssshh. No more talking."
"Sonny..." She whispered his name and he held her close to him and then was
kissing her again.
As Sonny kissed her, he wanted to consume her, swallow her whole until she was
a part of him, and he could be sure she was with him eternally.
They lay there together for a long time, kissing each other and forgetting
about the world. To them they were the only people in it. They discovered
things about each other.
"Make love to me." Brenda whispered in between kisses.
He pulled back hesitantly.
"What's wrong ? Don't you want to ?" She was scare, scared that he didn't want
her.
He sighed.
"Want doesn't even begin to cover it Brenda...I just don't want you to be
sorry later."
Brenda shook her head.
"Don't. I would never be sorry for anything that happens between us. I would
never take anything back. Even if I wake up in the morning and you were gone,
I still won't regret it."
"Don't say that. Don't even think that. I would never leave you like that.
Especially after making love to you."
Without another word, he took her in his arms and carried her to her bedroom.
"Are you sure ?" He asked as he gently placed her on the bed.
She said nothing but the look in her eyes said it all as she pulled him
closer.
She smiled shyly as he touched her hair and then kissed her. It was a gentle
kiss filled with longing. He whispered sexily in her ear. He literally ached
with desire for her.
It took all his strength to resist the urge to tear her dress off. He reached
around the back of the dress and unzipped it. The dress fell in a heap on the
floor and she kicked it away as she started to unbutton his shirt. He
whimpered when he saw her standing in front of him almost naked.
She sat on the edge of the bed and he kneeled in front of her on the floor.
Their kisses were increasingly passionate as she pulled him slowly toward her
in the bed. She scooted back to make room for him. His hands began exploring
her body. His mouth left hers and he made a trail of kisses from her neck to
her stomach. She moaned softly at his touch.
Her eyes were closed as he finished undressing her. He took off all his
clothes
He paused only for a second before entwining his body in hers. He wanted
everything to be perfect for her. He wanted it to be a night they would both
treasure.
She was even lovelier than he had imagined.
He kissed her endlessly, holding her, and whispering words of love all night.
They stayed there making wild passionate love all night. They became one body
and one soul. Nothing could ever part them. Or so they thought.

Part 5
Before dawn Brenda stirred, feeling at peace and for the first time in a long
time she was happy. She rubbed her eyes and looked to the other side of the
bed. She saw Sonny fast asleep. He looked so beautiful sleeping as he did
awake.. She glanced at the clock by the phone. The sun would be coming up in
an hour. She lightly kissed his lips, snuggled closer to him and closed her
eyes smiling to herself.
A few hours later, Sonny woke up. He glanced over at Brenda and saw her still
sleeping.
He leaned over and kissed her cheek. He didn't want to disturb her so he
slowly and reluctantly climbed out of the bed. He grabbed his pants which lay
on the floor in a heap and pulled them on. He closed the door and went to use
the phone in the other room.
Brenda moaned as she felt the warm sunlight shining in from the window. She
rolled over in bed and her arm hit the empty side of the bed. She instantly
woke up and looked around the room. She jumped out of bed and saw his shirt on
the floor. She picked it up and put it on. It still smelled like him. His
cologne.
She walked out of the room and heard his voice. He was sitting on one of the
armchairs talking on the phone.
"...Yeah, I spoke with him. Malcolm is taking care of it as we speak...I know
that. I won't be coming back for a few more days though. There is something
here that's very important. I need to stay...Right. I-"
He stopped talking when he saw her standing in front of him, wearing his
shirt. She took his breathe away.
"I'll talk to you in a few days Okay ? I have to go. Bye."
He hung up the phone and she sat in his lap, bringing her lips to his.
"I woke up and you weren't there."
"I had some calls to make and I didn't want to disturb you."
"You wouldn't be disturbing me." She whispered.
He kept kissing her. He couldn't stop himself and she finally pulled away
breathless.
"As much as I would love to stay here with you, I think we'd better get
showered and dressed."
"Why ?"
She laughed
"Because we can't go out like this and I want to see more sights."
"I have a better idea, lets stay here all day. We haven't even used the hot
tub yet."
"We can do that later baby."
Brenda said as she stood up.
"I need to take a shower then we can go out and get some breakfast. I'm
starving."
"Really ? I remember we went out to dinner last night."
"Yeah but we never got to eat dinner."
"We didn't ? Well, why don't you go get showered and dressed while I order
room service."
Brenda smiled
"If I didn't know better I'd say that you didn't want to leave this room. We
can stay in later. Lets go out. Its a beautiful day."
Sonny looked at her. She looked so damn irresistible, even more so than last
night. She looked even better in the mornings. There was a certain glow about
her.
"Fine, if you really want to then we'll go out. First lets go back to my hotel
so I can change. I'll call room service."
Brenda's lips formed a pout
"Can't you do that later ? I thought we could take a shower together."
Sonny groaned.
"You know if you really want to leave this hotel room today then I'd better
not because I don't think-"
Brenda looked at him seductively.
"I didn't say we had to leave right away but if you'd rather not then you
should probably put your shirt on."
"You're wearing my shirt and I have to say it looks a helluva lot better on
you than it does me."
She glanced down at herself. She had the shirt buttoned up all the way. It
flowed down her body, to the end of her thighs. It showed off her curves.
"I have to disagree with you there sweetie."
She started unbuttoning the shirt when Sonny spoke up shocked.
"Uh Bren, what are you doing ?"
"Giving you your shirt back."
"Don't you want to do that in the bathroom or something ? I mean you might
catch a cold out here. I'll get you a robe or something."
She looked at him questioningly then started laughing
"What ?"
"Are you embarrassed or something because you weren't last night."
He looked flustered
"No, of course not."
"Good."
She walked over to him and kissed him for a long time. She took his hand and
led him to the bathroom.
"Come on, we can shower here and you can change at your hotel room later.
We'll go after we eat."
She took of his shirt and walked into the shower after turning the water on.
Sonny took his pants off and joined her without hesitating this time.
"You are wild you know that right ?" He whispered sexily in her hair as the
water soaked their bodies.
"No, I just know what I want and I go after it. I'm not ashamed of anything
and i'm not afraid to let anyone know it."
"Its a good thing too. Are you sure about this ?"
"Why ?"
"We're entering dangerous territory here. I just want you to be sure you know
what you're getting."
Brenda grabbed his hand pulled him closer.
"I know what I'm getting. A great guy who is the most gorgeous incredibly sexy
guy I've ever seen and who I can't imagine spending a second without. It's all
I ever wanted. Someone to love and someone who loves me and would never hurt
me."
"I would never do anything intentionally to hurt you."
"I know."
She kissed him longingly.
"Good."
He kissed her this time and held her close, never wanting to let go.
Together they steamed up the shower doors. It wasn't the hot water either.
Sonny had just gotten dressed and was looking out the window in the bedroom
when Brenda cleared her throat.
She had finally found something to wear. A short blue skirt with a white tank
top and black dress shirt tied above the waist showing off her slim midriff.
Her hair was pulled up in a twist.
"What are you looking at ?"
Sonny turned around to face her and whimpered.
"The most beautiful thing i've ever seen in my life. You look spectacular. I'm
almost afraid to let you leave this room looking like that. You might cause a
traffic jam when you cross the street."
She smiled
"Thanks but I doubt it."
He leaned in to kiss her when a knock at the door disturbed them.
"Ignore it."
"Sonny, we can't. It's probably room service."
"So ?"
"So I'm hungry."
"I can take care of that." He whispered as he kissed her neck.
"You took care of that hunger last night. I meant food."
Brenda pulled away and went to answer the door.
It was the bellboy with a cart of food.
"Ms. Barrett. Here is the food you ordered. You left a message not to be
disturbed last night so you have two messages."
"From who ? My sister ?" Brenda said as she signed the bill.
"No, a Mr. Jeffrey Harrison called both times."
Brenda sighed
"Oh, if he calls again tell him that I checked out."
"He said it was urgent."
"Everything is with him."
"Very well Ms. Barrett, will you still be checking out later ?"
Brenda glanced behind her when she heard Sonny walk in.
"No, i'll be staying a few more days. Thank you."
The bellboy nodded as he left.
"Hey."
"Hey yourself."
"What's going on ?"
"I had booked a flight for later this morning but I'm going to stay here a
little while longer."
"Any special reason ?" He asked teasingly
"For you."
He kissed her three times quickly.
"Why don't you check out of this room and we can stay in my hotel room. We'll
stay there for the rest of the week."
"Okay, that sounds good. I'll have my things sent over after we eat."
She walked over to the cart and lifted up some lids.
They finished eating and soon left the room.
Sonny's hotel room.
Brenda tossed her purse on the couch in the room.
It wasn't as big as hers but it was a luxury suite. There was a hot tub in the
room.
She sat down on the couch.
"Why don't you get dressed. I'll wait out here."
"Okay, give me a half hour and we can go out."
Sonny disappeared into the bedroom.
Brenda went digging in her purse. She pulled out her address book.
She picked up the phone on the coffee table and dialed.
"Hello ?" A female voice answered.
"Hi Jules, its me."
"Brenda ? Are you on the plane ?"
Brenda braced herself for the reaction she was sure to get.
"No, I'm still in Puerto Rico. I decided to stay for the rest of the week. I
also checked out of Daddy's hotel and i'm staying someplace else."
"What ? You were supposed to come back today and why did you switch hotels ?
If you had a complaint you could have called the manager-"
"Listen Julia. I can't really talk right now. Its not a good time. I'll call
you later okay ?"
"No, its not okay. Is this about Jeff ? Because he's been trying to get in
touch with you. He's really upset. Just talk to him and -"
"And what ? I don't want to hear his explanations. I don't want to see him or
even hear his name again. I really have to go now. I'll talk to you next week.
Bye."
Brenda hung up the phone. She was so deep in thought that she didn't hear
Sonny walk in.
"Who were you talking to ?"
Brenda looked up at him.
Part 6
"I just wanted to touch base with my sister. I was supposed to be back this
morning, remember ?"
Sonny walked over to her and sat down.
"Vaguely. You want to refresh my memory ?"
"Well, I went to this market to do some shopping and this guy grabs the same
piece of jewelry that I was going to get. He just wouldn't admit that I saw if
first..."
"Still won't. I did see it first."
He laughed and kissed her quickly. She starts to laugh.
"See, he was also incredibly stubborn."
"That it ?"
"No, he was also incredibly good looking and sweet."
"Ouch. Sweet, that's what you call puppy dogs and little kids."
"That's not true. I happen to find that a good quality. Its very endearing.
Right up their with honesty and a romantic soul."
"So what happened ?"
"I fell for him. Hard."
"Yeah ?"
"Yeah."
Sonny brushed her hair out of the way and starts to kiss her neck.
"Sonny, if you don't stop that, we'll never leave this room." She groaned.
"Sounds like a plan."
"I'm serious."
"So am I. We haven't even tried out the jacuzzi yet."
Brenda pulled out of his embrace.
"We can do that tonight. I want to go out. Come on, we'll have fun."
"Baby, we could have fun here." He whispered as he pulled her close.
She leaned back on the couch, knocking her purse and its contents on the
floor.
The messages she received had been stuffed in her purse and now lay on the
floor.
"What are those ?"
"Just some messages."
"Aren't you going to return the calls ?"
"They aren't important."
Sonny glanced at them while Brenda got up and
"Who are they from ?"
"What's with all the questions ?"
"I just want to know."
She shrugged.
"Jeff's an old family friend."
"Jeff ?" A jealous look fell across his face.
"Yes."
"How old of a friend is he ?"
Brenda stopped eating and finally looked at him.
"Why..." She trailed off as she saw the look on his face." Sonny, he's no one
important to me. Not even close to how important you are to me. Can we just
forget about him and enjoy ourselves ?"
Sonny walked over to her and picked up a strawberry.
"I'm sorry. I just don't know much about your life and I'm jealous of any guy
that knows you better than me. I just want to be close to you. To know you,
your heart and your soul better than anyone else."
Brenda softened and hugged him.
"Baby, you already do. Especially after last night. You have me, you have my
heart, you have my soul. I gave them to you. Forever."
Sonny looked deep into her eyes.
"You have my heart and my soul too. I never loved a woman before. Never wanted
to. I-"
"Sonny, its okay. I-"
"No, just hear me out. I have to say this."
She nodded, tears in her eyes.
"Last night I told you that I was falling in love with you. Its true. I fell
so hard and so fast for you. I can't bear to be apart from you. I don't want
you to ever go away. I can't even bear the thought. I just want to be the most
important man in your life. For now and forever."
Brenda felt the tears sting her eyes. Sonny saw them and brushed them away.
"Hey, don't cry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you."
Brenda took his hand and held it.
"You didn't. Its just that that is the most beautiful thing anyone's ever said
to me. Thank you."
"No, you don't have thank me. I want to make you happy."
He wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her closer. He needed to hold her
and she needed to feel his arms around her. He brought his lips to hers. He
kissed her with so much passion and feeling that her knees went weak. His arms
held her up. Her feet barely skimmed the ground as he walked her over to the
bed. She sat on the bed and scooted back to make room for him.
"You sure ?" Sonny asked breathlessly.
In response she kissed him back.
"Yes, make love to me."
Those were the last words spoken between them for hours as they made love
throughout the afternoon.
Later,
Sonny was lying awake in bed gently stroking Brenda's hair. Her head was
resting on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. Their heart beating as one.
"Do you hear that ?"
"Hear what sweetheart ?"
"My stomach. We never got around to having lunch. We were supposed to go out,
remember ?"
Sonny leaned down and kissed her.
"We got distracted."
"We ?"
"Well, I did. Its not my fault that you are so damn irresistible and
distracting."
"Me ? What about you ? You keep flashing that smiled, a girl doesn't stand a
chance. Especially combined with those wonderful things you said to me this
morning."
Brenda shifted positions and propped herself up on her elbow.
"Yeah ? I'll have to keep that in mind for the future."
Brenda smiled at that word.
"Hmm. Future. What do you think the future holds for us ?"
Sonny smiled suggestively.
"I can tell you what the future holds for us tonight."
Brenda grabbed a pillow and threw it at him.
"Sonny, I'm serious !"
"So am I baby." He laughed. "I'm not good at this future and castle in the sky
stuff but I can tell you that if the past two days are any indication. Good
things."
He said seriously.
Brenda melted at his words.
"You know, for someone who isn't that good with words, you sure know how to
take a girl's breathe away."
"Its easy since its you."
"So what are you saying ?" Brenda asked while grinning.
Sonny smiled back like a kid in a candy store.
"I guess I'm saying that I've never felt this way before. You make me feel
hopeful about the future. You fill me up with love, happiness and peace. You
do that for me. I was never good at all this love stuff before. You bring it
out in me."
Brenda moves closer to him and kisses him for a long time. He finally pulls
away.
"What was that for ?"
"No specific reason. I just felt like it."
Brenda lay back on the bed and watched Sonny pick up the phone.
"Who are you calling ?"
"Room service."
"Why ?"
"I thought you said that you were hungry ?"
"I am but I still want to go out. If you call room service then we'll probably
never leave the room."
"Isn't that the point of room service."
"Very funny but you are still taking me out."
Brenda climbed out of the bed to get dressed. "Hurry up. I'm giving you 10
minutes."
Sonny groaned and reluctantly got up and started pulling his clothes on.
"We just met and you're already bossing me around."
"Get used to it." Brenda walked out of the bathroom brushing her hair and
kissed him lightly on the lips. "You are stuck with me and I always get what I
want."
Sonny kissed her back.
"You don't hear me complaining, do you ?"
"Oh yeah ? What was that grumbling before ?" Brenda smiled
"That wasn't me."
She laughed.
"Well, whoever it was better get dressed. They're taking me out to dinner and
then taking a walk with me on the beach."
"What happened to the jacuzzi. I thought we were going to try it out tonight."
"We will baby. Later, I promise."
Sonny pulled on his coat and waited for Brenda to come out of the bathroom.
"Baby, are you almost done ? If you still want to make it to the restaurant
for dinner then.."
He trailed off when the door to the bathroom opened and Brenda walked out. She
was wearing a short spaghetti strap backless red dress. The necklace that had
brought them together the day before was around her neck. She had on strappy
sandals that matched her dress.
Sonny just stood there, fixated on her. Mesmerized by her beauty.
"You still complaining ?"
"Uh..no. You look...spectacular."
Sonny walked over to her and took her hand.
"You sure you want to go out ?"
"Yes, I got all dressed up for it."
Sonny faked disappointment
"And here I thought that this was all for me."
"Aww, baby. I was just kidding. I wanted to look good when we went out."
"Brenda, you look better than good. I'm just nervous that some other guy is
going to take one look at you in that dress and try to take you away from me."
Sonny said half joking.
"Never going to happen. Now lets go."
Together they happily walked out of the hotel to a restaurant by the ocean.
There was a great view of the beach. After dinner they strolled along the
sandy beach feeling fortunate to have found each other. Sonny and Brenda had
taken their shoes off and walked hand in hand. Brenda had put her hair down
and it fell in loose cascades across her shoulders. The wind blowing it behind
her. To Sonny ,she looked like an angel.
"Tell me something about yourself."
Sonny looked at her.
"Like what ?"
"Anything."
"There's not that much to say. I grew up in Bensonhurst, New York. I had a
rotten childhood. An awful stepfather that my mom married after my father
walked out on us. I ended up in Port Charles working for some less than clean
guys. I cam here on business and I met you."
"Is that supposed to be your whole life story wrapped up in a few sentences ?"
"More or less. All the important stuff anyway."
"I qualify ?"
"Definitely. You are the most important person in my life. Next to my mother."
"Where is she ?"
"She was living in the old neighborhood in Brooklyn until a couple of weeks
ago."
Brenda saw a sadness wash over him.
"Did she move ?"
No, she died. She's in heaven now. That's part of the reason I came down here.
To get away. I left right after the funeral."
Brenda stopped walking and so did he. They sat down on the beach and watched
the water hit the beach. Brenda rested her head on his shoulder.
"I'm so sorry. Are you okay ?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just miss her. She was very important to me. For a long
time she was the only positive thing in my life."
"You were very close then ?"
"Yes."
"You were lucky then. You had your mom. You may not have had a father nut at
least you had a loving caring mother. And you turned out pretty damn good."
"I know. I was fortunate to have her."
Sonny took her hand and kissed it.
"Thank you."
Brenda smiled at him.
"Your welcome. Come on."
Brenda stood up and pulled Sonny up with her.
"Where are we going ?"
"In the water."
Brenda tossed her shoes on the ground and walked into the water to wet her
feet. Sonny followed her.
"Brenda, isn't it a little cold ?"
"No, the water is fine."
"We'll get wet."
Sonny said as he followed her to the shore.
"Are you afraid of a little water Mr. let try out this jacuzzi ?"
"That was different. The water is heated in the hot tub."
"Come on, we'll just wet our feet."
Brenda grabbed his hands and pulled him into the water. She laughed as he was
hit by an incoming wave.
His sweater and pants were covered in water and soaking wet.
Sonny grabbed her and dunk her in the water, making sure she was equally wet.
She screamed as the water came in and soaked her dress.
"You are going to pay for this Sonny Corinthos !" Brenda yelled as she chased
Sonny back to dry land. He fell and Brenda landed on top of him.
Brenda brought her lips to his.
"I give up. You caught me. What's my punishment ?" Sonny whispered sexily.
"This."
Brenda kissed him slowly and gently.
Sonny pulled her closer to him and held her tight. He kissed her back
passionately.
