Places I've Been

Chattanooga has its share of neat sites. The city is right on the southern border of the state of Tennessee.  Chattanooga is the red star.

To give you an idea of how close Chattanooga is to the state of Georgia... take a look at this picture.

This is Chattanooga's border with the town of Rossville Georgia. Notice the welcome signs to Georgia on the left and Tennessee on the right!

My Ticket Stub From River Stages THE RIVER STAGES MUSIC FESTIVAL
Every year, big cities have these huge music festivals with TONS of bands, lots of crappy (re: fast) food, and big amounts of fun. In Nashville, it's called River Stages. It's literally across the river from Adelphia Coliseum, where the Tennessee Titans play football. (Although in this picture, it looks like we are in the parking lot.. you can't see the river!)

This is a shot of the main entrance of "Riverstages" on Broadway.

I went to Saturday, or the middle day of the festival. A 3 piece group called Government Mule came on right  before Widespread Panic. Government mule reminds me of a heavy metal/Allman Brothers mix. Their guitarist, Warren Haynes, used to play with the Allmans back in the late 1980's and early 1990's.

Just before they went on.. I happened to be walking by a tent sponsored by a Nashville Radio Station. I ducked in to check it out. To my surprise, Warren was there hanging out! I said hello, and he signed my ticket stub.
