Chivralous, heroic and good natured are words that would describe Silverbolt during Beasties. He wouldn't have thought about taking advantage of a weaker foe in battle. Not even a "female" Predacon.
Silverbolt declared his love for Blackarachnia during the Beast Wars and had fought right by her side.
Even young Cheetor tried making passes at Blackarachnia at a few points during the wars on prehistoric Earth which didn't sit too well with Silverbolt. He did see Blackarachnia first and wasn't going to let some punk-ass kid move in on his territory.
Silverbolt won't let anything happen to Blackarachnia. When it comes to Blackarachnia, she is Silverbolt's TOP priority, above duty to the war for the Maximals survival.
Silverbolt loved Blackarachnia with all of his heart and spark, soul, and Blackarachnia; in her own way, showed the same affection back to Silverbolt. Even though she had a hard time admitting that she was in love with him
Upon The Maximals' triumphant return to Cybertron Silverbolt and Rhinox were captured and reprogrammed as the Vehicon generals Jetstorm and Tankor.
Blackarachnia's intial thought was that the Vehicon general Thrust contained Silverbolt's spark which was corrupted by Megatron. Much to Blackarachnia's horror, and still to her horror; Thrust's body housed the already corrupt spark of Waspinator who had somehow made it back to Cybertron when the proto-humans chased him away.
Blackarachnia "accidently" spilled some of the organic ooze on Jetstorm which revealed the corrupted spark of Silverbolt. Blackarachnia then made her mission to get Silverbolt back to the flock.
When all of her attempts to sway Jetstorm failed, she did the only thing that she could do, trap him and force him to change.
Thanks to a spark extractor/DNA scanner hybird that was rigged up by Rattrap Blackarachnia found a way to uncorrupt. She did it through slow and sadistic torture brought on by a combination of the organic ooze from Cybertron's core, the spark extractor/DNA scanner; Blackarachnia's red coloured webbing and the condor bones in the catacombs.
This painful combination was a desprate measure made by Blackarachnia but it was nessacary to get her beloved back. However Blackarachnia hadn't counted on Silverbolt being angry, spiteful and confused about what he had done as Jetstorm.
Blackarachnia tried to assure Silverbolt that he only did what he did because of Megatron. Silverbolt confided in Blackarachnia saying that he didn't hate Megatron for what he made him do but he hated that he was stripped of his Code of Honour and he came to the realization that he enjoyed being Jetstorm because he was allowed to do what he wanted to do without realizing the consequences of his actions. What Silverbolt had become was horrifying to him and he didn't know what he was anymore?
Silverbolt admits to Blackarachina that she's taking a huge risk in taking him back. Blackarachnia reassures Silverbolt that she knows the goodness in his heart very well and that taking him back really isn't a risk at all.
