Mar 3 PXZFY means You Patient Folk ZIP TO THE XENO of the Highland Lass Darts Club and the music of Jimmy Wilson and his Rock Happy Melotones.
This was probably one of the strangest advert ever to appear in the Ross Shire Journal. When the riddle was revealed the series of letters translated into YPFZX (You Patient Folk Zip to the Xeno) and not PXZFY (Patient Xeno Zip Folk You). No one to this day can explain what “Zip to the Xeno” meant.

The Erle Blue Stars from Perth were fronted by Erle Jacobsen on keyboards, Eggie Martin on guitar, Lindsay Thomson on guitar (who was to go on to join the Cyclones and Johnny Little and the Giants), Eric Murray on drums and an accordionist. The band went on to become Gary and the Hi-Landers and played their first date at the Pavilion on May 21st 1965.
