This group was originally started as a sub-group from Catholicity's Y2K forum in 1998.
We thought it would be fun to have some sort of "connection" locally, as we
discussed
topics of self-sufficient living; news events; gossip; speculation about the future; as
well as exchanging jokes; recipes; and inspirational materials.
As the Y2K rollover date turned out to be a "burp", it seemed like the group
still wanted to stay together, now that a wonderful "cyber-family" had been
formed. As foundress (but definitely not computer savvy!) of this group, I
have benefitted tremendously from the laughs, concerns, prayer power, and
spiritual inspiration I've gotten from fellow Cajun members, as well as adopted Cajuns.
We'd like to continue keeping in touch with each other and also meeting new people who
might be interested.
Some suggested topics for discussion are: Catholicism, spiritual matters, approved
apparitions,
miraculous events, recipes, tasteful jokes, hints on frugal living and self-sufficiency,
world events as they relate to ourselves and our families, prayer requests, conversion
stories,
stretch-a-budget tips, and whatever else strikes your fancy.
Well, y'all, may God and His holy saints and angels bless the members and visitors to this

and I'd like to personally thank Beth for being
the "Wizard" behind the "Oz".
