Journal
As adventures go, this trip would be hard to top for me. My 14th International trip and the 4th to Asia, first time since January 2001.

My 16-hour direct flight between Newark and Hong Kong was a whopper! After six days in HK, I flew to Taipei for 5 days, seeing old friends and students. Then it was the flight back to HK, and then on to Beijing for 4 days, followed by 3 more days in Shanghai. Another night in Hong Kong ended my trip.
Mary Rose Intermaggio
July 6, 1924-January 21, 2006
My dear friend Mary passed away on January 21st, ending the wonderful life of a fine and funny woman. Anyone who knows me knew Mary, she was a big part of my life for the last decade. Her ashes weree returned to the Earth on February 2nd, where she lays side-by-side with her only true love, her late huband Peter. Abovet is our last picture together, a very Happy Thanksgiving Day 2005. It would prove to be our last time together outside of her nursing home. And now she laughs again with her Peter, and that makes me smile at this sad time.

Whata Summer!
Janet, Steven, Harrison and baby Truman visited Ocean City and the Northeast this past summer and had the trip of a lifetime. Nothing says that more than the look on young Harrison's face (along with Louie Rodriguez). The family enjoyed their trip north and even celebrated Truman Thomas' FIRST birthday in good ol' OC! Check out more pics from their trip on my pics site! Below, a very rare sight..three Schoenewald's on the Ocean City Boardwalk, for the first time in many years. Joe (39), Janet (37), Truman (1)  and me (40).

The summer for Cayman Emmett included a fun trip up North to Pennsylvania where he got to visit Hershey Park, and then a return to Florida where he got to help the local tree crew prepare his backyard for the new addition to his family's house!

A WIN AND AN OFFER!
2006-07 SEASON:
THE FINAL ACT
NORTH BERGEN 44  Lincoln 0: With West Virginia Mountaineer Tight Ends Coach Herb Hand watching from the sidelines, Evan put on a dazzling First Quarter performance with a 17-yard Fumble Recovery for a TD, a 63-yard rush for a TD, and a 40+ yard punt return. Coach Hand called before the quarter was over and said "tell Evan he has a full scholarship offer to West Virginia if he wants it...we'd love to have him as a Mountaineer." Other offers have come, but none like this. WVU is currently ranked #5 in the Nation. Although Evan was unaware of the good news at that point, he added another 36-yard TD run to cap off a 3 TD evening. It was a fantastic start to his final High School season.
NEXT GAMES: Sept. 22 @ Ferris, Sept. 29 vs. St. Peter's Prep
