In this illustration, the central focus is the Word of God spoken by the prophets Jeremiah and King David, both faithful servants during times of testing. I combined these two phrases (in proper context) to illustrate a strong message -- that in the spiritual realm, our God always fights mightily for us. God's Word is central, so I envisioned it quite large, beside by my Shelter of Wings characters: Mosirashek and Jenna.

In my art, I usually sign my name as "Snow". My real name is Lisa Hutchinson, fine arts grad and pre-school teacher with a wonderful husband and family. I am in the process of doing a "Shelter of Wings"(c) book and manga to build the faith of young teens.

I became led to use the unique style of manga in my depiction of angels, mostly because I believe that these spiritual beings (biblically referred to as "males") are wonderfully rendered through this interesting Japanese style, since males have a tendency to look both masculine and feminine. In this pic, the angel silently keeps watch over his appointed 'human', a young girl, who finds a comforting refuge in his strength and might. I hope you become as inspired and blessed viewing this illustration as I have from creating it.
