iSe Club Mission Statement: Our goal is to help students apply and implement the skills they have been taught in college. Our purpose is to teach, develop, and implement all the skills necessary to become a successful entrepreneur.

Executive Summary Assistance -- The iSe Club is providing an informative lecture on November 6th at 5p.m in BU 118 by Dr. Peter Robinson.

Awards -- $300 for first place, $150 for second place, and $50 for third place.

iSe - Institute for Student Entrepreneurs Events:

iSe-UVSC Business Plan Competition -- Fall 2003 On behalf of the Institute for Student Entrepreneurs, I would like to thank all of the entrants for the iSe-UVSC Business Plan Competition -- Fall 2003. This year was our first competition of this kind focusing on providing an informative credible outlet for inspiring entrepreneurs at UVSC to recieve valuable feedback and a chance to win cash prizes.

Our winners are Genesis Distribution, LLC; Cinnema Bistro; and Mother's Spice.com. More news will be forthcomming. Awards will be presented next week. Entrants, who are members of iSe-Instutue for Student Entrepreneurs, will be able to post their business ideas, with contact information and personal website address, on the "Club Business" page.

iSe-UVSC Business Plan Competition -- Winter 2003 Has completed accepting Executive Summaries. The due date was November 24th 2003. The Executive Summary is only part of a successful Business Plan. For more information, and a chance to ask questions, please contact Dr. Peter Robinson. Dr. Robinson, apart from being one of the iSe advisors, teahces Small Business and Entreprenerur curriculum at UVSC.

Awards -- Awards are given for the top three Executive Summaries. $300 for first place, $150 for second place, and $50 for third place. Applicants may work in teams or individually. Awards will be given for one Executive Summary, only one Executive Summary may be submitted per person and/or group.

All Executive Summaries submitted before the deadline, will be evaluated by a pannel of bussiness professionals, community members, UVSC faculty, and other qualified entrepreneurs. Executive Summaries will be evaluated based on content, form, style, scope, individuality, and originallity. If you have any questions please contact Adam at iSe President.

For more information on producing a Business Plan or Executive Summary, go to the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The SBDC gives advise for members of the community who are looking for assistance for small businesses.
