Picnic to Alappuzha Backwaters

The picnic to the Alappuzha backwaters on 11 Feb was very enjoyable and rejuvenating. Twelve families participated, comprising thirty one persons - 20 adults and 11 children.

The team arrived Alappuzha from Trivandrum by the Janasadabdi Express. From the railway station, the members boarded a private bus for the Jetty. Boating started at 10.30 AM from the Nehru Trophy finishing point at the Jetty. After a very pleasant backwater ride including onboard lunch and snacks the team returned to the Jetty by 5 PM.
The return journey was also by the Janasadabdi, arriving Trivandrum by 9.25 pm.

The members were George Varghese, Kurien Job, Rosamma Kurien, Annie Kurien, Philip Kompithara, Gracy Philip, Achuthan, Mallika, Thampy, Mamey, Meryl, Dr. Abraham Joshua, Geetha, Satheesh, Lekha, Ganga, Thomas Job, Cyriac, Alexander, Kuttu, Benney, Merene, Twinkle, Beena, Tracy, Tania, Prasad, Yamuna, Sandra, Sanjana and Sandra.
