VIDEONOVELS/SHORT-STORIES
Although these two series are mainly stand-alone short stories, about 6 episodes of each year
are chapters in a larger story about an alien/government conspiracy and the Federation/Dominion War respectively.
In other words, they are semi-videonovels.

VIDEONOVEL
The Prisoner is the first videonovel: A cult television series created by Patrick McGoohan, who also plays the title role. It consists of 17 one-hour episodes. The series has a definite beginning and a definite end; the conflicts are resolved and the questions are answered (more or less). Closer inspection reveals multiple levels of meaning and numerous possible interpretations, many of which are still debated today. The Prisoner is a refreshing change from the mindless rubbish so common on modern television.
