The description for the Gee coat-of-arms is listed as:-
Gules a sword in bend Argent hilt and pommel Or.
I have translated this into English as: A red sheild with a diagonal white or silver stripe from top left to bottom right containing a sword with a gold or yellow pommel.
I have included the family crest on top of the coat-of-arms which seems to be the normal way of showing both together.
The description for the Gee crest is listed as:-
A dexter gauntlet erect proper grasping a sword as in the arms.
This translates as: A right gauntleted hand grasping a sword upright with a gold or yellow pommel.
A word of warning about coats-of-arms and crests. The coat-of-arms and crest are granted to a family line (through father to son etc) and people who share the same family name do not have the right to use them as their own. Inclusion here is for interest only. I have not been granted the right to use the coat-of-arms or crest as my own.
The Gee name has a long history around the Manchester Area with large communities in Ancoats, Ardwick, Stretford and Hyde.
There is even a suburb of Manchester called Gee Cross. I will add more information and pictures shortly so watch this space!
If you have any information that you would like included here then let me know.
