About the Agency:
Regional Economic Development and Investment Agency - Kardjali (REDIA), is a Bulgarian non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO)dedicated to the promotion and creation of new private enterprises; and to the assistance and support of owners of small and medium sized businesses in their quest for financial stability, growth, and entry into the world market. REDIA focuses on supporting freedom in business and democracy as decisive conditions for the successful development of the Bulgarian economy.
The future growth of Bulgaria requires transparent processes in business, government and society. REDIA promotes these ideas and foresters mutual understanding between Bulgaria and Rhodope Mountain region, and other countries and regions.
To be effective, a community must have the ability to mobilize and use the resources of its members along with outside resources, to foster individual growth and community development.
Goals:
To support economic development of the municipality, to assist local government, to contribute to improvement of healthcare service, education, science, culture, sport and tourism.
To assist and support the economic development of East Rhodope region
To work out regional strategies for global and sectors economic development and searching opportunities for their realization
To mobilize and coordinate the activities of regional, national and international institutions for realizing projects and developing initiatives.
To plan, popularize, support, create and co-ordinate projects, that bind the market of manpower with the economic development;
To work out projects for optimum usage of local resources with the aim to stimulate the enterprise in the region.
To undertake and realize initiatives for popularizing the region and attracting national and international investments;
To encourage and support small and medium size private business in the region;
To administrate grant programmes for small and medium size business and the tourism development in all its forms.
To support and stimulate free independent media development
To take initiatives for preservation and restoration the environment;
To collect and publish information in Newsletters, Newspapers, Internet and etc.
Serving as a liaison that strengthens communications between the Municipality and the business community, we will provide vision and strategic planning on economic development issues that will best serve the region as a whole.
