Head of Network Department - Computer Center
  • Designed and implemented CGI and system management programs including Internet Accounting System which was used to control each student's usage of Internet connection from computer labs with more than 600 PC and PowerPC Macintosh clients.
  • installed and maintained Digital Unix system on Digital 4100 for more than 16,000 users, WindowsNT4.0 which served RAS, DHCP and PC-Macintosh volumes, and Linux IP Firewall; installed and maintained Internet services which included web servers, proxy servers, mail servers, bootp-dhcp servers, domain name servers, and other Internet related servers.
  • Installed and maintained networking equipment which included Cisco routers, Retix routers, HP routers, Bay Network switching hubs, Shiva LanRover 16E, USR NetManager 16, and USR Total Control; planned computer network extensions for Bangkhen campus and gave advise and training to a team from a new campus in Chonburi province.
  • Organized help-desk and supervised technicians who maintained computer hardware and software for the university.
  • Assisted the director in budget planning, technical advisory and proposal preparation; served as a member in the university's Information Technology Committee. The committee's duties are to plan IT infrastructure for the university and to give advises to the president on IT policies.
