Ice was born to a traditional Chinese family.
Since he was a child, he has always liked singing, but it was during his secondary school
days that he really fell in love with it. Since then, his desire for singing has been
burning passionately. After his secondary education, he went on to the Polytechnic and
joined the school choir there. It was the friends of this choir that introduced him to the
group Octmented. he never had any formal musical training but thanks to heaven, he
has been gifted with a vocal instrument.
Ice is always engaged in war with his computer, and
he thinks that is why people call him a computer games maniac, although he also enjoys
cycling, swimming and hiking. However there is one sport that he is very proud of, and
that is dancing. Ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz) and Latin
(Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive and Paso Doble) dancing are his specialty. He has won the
first and fifth position in the Ballroom Novice and Pre-Amateur category respectively
during the Lion City International Ballroom Competition 1993.
At present, Ice is an engineer employed by a marine
engine manufacturing company. As an engineer, he is often required to travel.
