The vision of First Baptist Church, Ashland, Kentucky is to be a dynamic spiritual organism empowered by the Holy Spirit, glorifying Christ by developing disciples who are growing in relationship with God emphasizing Christian education, fellowship, stewardship and a total commitment of life, sharing the love of Christ within the church, the community and the world through unselfish witness in Jesus' name.

Authenticity is Critical to Spirtual and Relational Growth.
Includes the concepts of truth-telling, biblically based conflict resolution, vulnerability and Christians in the marketplace. (Ephesians 4: 25-26, 32 )
The Church is Culturally Relevant while Remaining Doctrinally Pure.
Relates to authentic preaching and teaching which is life related. Includes the concept of reclaiming the arts for God and His work. ( I Corinthians 9: 19-23 )
All That We Do Is To Honor God.

The Church Should be Led by Those with Leadership Gifts.
Includes the concepts of empowerment, servanthood, strategic focus and intentionality.

Spirit Led Biblical Teaching and Personal Bible Study is the Means by Which Transformation takes Place in Individuals' Lives and in the Church.

Loving Relationships Should Permeate Every Aspect of Church Life.
Relates to the essence of who God is and the fundamental function of the church.
