There are so many horn players around now, that telling them apart from one another can become quite difficult. I myself enjoy listening to recordings trying to guess which one out of the dozens of professional horn players it is. To make it easier, I will give you three different recordings of an extract of the same piece, Mozart's Horn concerto No.4 (Rondo), played by Richard Watkins, David Pyatt, and Dennis Brain. Hopefully you will be able to hear and realise that there are many styles and sounds of horn playing.
