"Schuylkill Ballet Theatre is dedicated to nurturing and advancing the young talent of Schuylkill County." Students from all area dance studios are invited to become a member of the ballet company, to enhance their current dance instruction. We are the only non-profit organization of this nature in the county.

Schuylkill Ballet Theatre was proud to announce that in 2000, we celebrated our 21st anniversary of THE NUTCRACKER Ballet. Many new things were added to enhance our production this year and make it a very special performance for all to see. One of the features of the performance was our special guest artists, Marissa Carr and Sean Whiteman, from the Devon Festival Ballet, Philadelphia, along with their director, Jeanne Hansbury.
This year's Clara role was shared by Alyssa Troy and Larissa Motto at Pottsville on November 25th and 26th respectively. Alyssa Boris performed the Clara role at Shamokin on December 10th. These girls showed their special talent in the role of Clara as well as the rest of the cast. Schuylkill Ballet Theatre is composed of over 30 regular members as well as extra performers.
