Hello and welcome to my page on the heavenly instrument, the bassoon.
I, as a bassoonist, have as my consummate mission a need to popularize the bassoon.
I am sure that you have heard, and probably enjoyed, the sound of the bassoon more often that you think.
Do you enjoy cartoons?
The bassoon is used in many popular cartoons, including my favorites, those of Wile E. Coyote.
And I am sure you are familiar with the song “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Edward Grieg.
It is now being used in commercials for Ritz Bits Crackers.
Well, that was written primarily for the bassoon.
And if you are a classical music aficionado, I don’t think I need to remind you about the famous bassoon solos in
“The Rite of Spring” or “The Marriage of Figaro”.

Please sit back and enjoy my page on the finest instrument, the bassoon.
We shall begin with the basics, and work into advanced techniques and reed making. I just bought my own bassoon, and soon, I shall have a better pic for you than the one in my 'a bassoon for me?' section... keep your eyes open!

Please remember, this page is really new, and it will take me a while to get this page into really good shape!

I now have the pleasure of introducing you all to my Angel. Her name is Katherine, and is a dear friend of mine.
She is seen here in homage to her bassoongod... hehe...

She drew this herself (yes she is a real person) and will soon be makeing a graphic of me! :0)
