The Activities


The Anya’s violinist life started in 1986 when she was 5 years old at the simple music children studio with teacher O.V. Marchenko. First time Anya had captivated the attention of her parents after becoming the winner of All-Siberian competition of the young musicians at the age of 6. At those time Anya performed music of Tchaikovsky, Bethoween, Mozart, Kabalevsky, Russian folk music.

From the early beginning Anna Bazanova belongs to activists of the peacemaking projects of the Family to Family association. She was leader-musician of the kids program of the Goodwill Games in 1990 at Seattle, during Peace voyage along Ob and Enisei rivers, annual Peace lanternes floating ceremonies at Siberia, Moscow, USA, Germany, Japan. The Anya's first performance trip around  USA, organized by peace friends, took place in 1991.





In 1992 Anna became a prizewinner of the Blue lake fine art camp's competition (MI, USA) and next 1993 year she was entrusted to play Concerto with International Young Symphony Orchestra. The conductor of this orchestra Fritz Stansel was impressed by charming Anya's sound of her very simple violin and said: "I had never heard such wonderful sound that may belong to somebody so young".

In 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996 and 1997 Anya became prizewinner of All-Russian and last two years International competitions of young violinists. She traveled with concerts to USA, Brasil, Japan and European countries with chamber orchestra "Young Virtuoses of Siberia" and with her teacher, professor Alexei Gvozdev.  The famous Japaneese Teacher S. Suzuki had highly appreciated the professional violinist abilities of Anya in 1994. The president of Hungary called Anya's performing of Bartock's Rapsodia a very "hungarian" in spirit. The famous violinist, professor Denes Zsigmondy wrote to Anya's teacher: "I was very impressed by her violinistic and musical technique".





The program of Anna Bazanova includes music of Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Kabalevsky, Wienyavsky, Paganini, Bach, Vivaldi, Beetchoven, Mozart, Brahms, Bahrtock etc.

Anya plays both solo and in chambers. She likes to play music along with other people very much. She is quite sure: "Music is a universal language for mutual understanding among people and for Peace".
